24.01.2022 Great news for city cyclists! A new uphill bicycle lane is planned for Elizabeth Street by the Hobart City Council as part of its Midtown upgrade. Running between Melville and Warwick Streets, this will be a wonderful step towards a safer city cycling and we think it will encourage many more to ride into town. After extensive local consultations, the original plan was to build a protected bike lane. Unfortunately, this has been downgraded to a painted bike lane in the latest... plan put out for public consultation. How do you feel about this? We think It's important the council knows just how important a protected lane is for safer cycling. The council is seeking your feedback by the 2nd of November. 24.01.2022 We’d like to share with you how thrilled we are this year to once again have donated 1% of our annual revenue #ForThePlanet We want to say a big thank you to you, as with your help through choosing to buy mindfully for our planet with us, we have been able to make these contributions Globally it’s been a pivotal year because we’ve had multiple reminders of how dependent we are on nature and how vulnerable we are due to the changes we are inflicting upon nature. The way w...e live is showing us that the way we treat animals creates the conditions for things to go out of kilter with viral outbreaks, just one in a string of such that have come from wild animal trade. We’ve seen a small taste of the kind of hardships that could be in-store. It’s a year that should push us to act and not just love the planet, but live as if we love the planet! This motivates us here at Teros to not just continue to support groups that are helping the planet, through 1% for the Planet, but also to reduce our own footprint and motivates us to look further at any other actions we can do. 15.01.2022 Ahmet’s favourite bike of all time, the electric Focus Thron squared 6.8, recently accompanied him on a visit to Maria Island. It really helped him explore and get amongst nature He said at times it felt like the bike was made for the island and it allowed him to get through the hills and the sand without getting exhausted. So he could just travel gently through the country freely and be able to really soak up the sights (they even spotted a Wedge-tailed Eagle close by!).... The Thron is an all round adventure bike that brings the best of mountain bike components but with a more comfortable riding position. Even with the challenging terrain of Maria, Ahmet was really impressed he still got 100km out of the battery from one charge!
