25.01.2022 I haven't posted for a while, work took precedence over time spent exploring the internet for art, nature or whatever catches my eye. However, this did pop up on my radar this week - Instagram urban artists looking at Cities through their lenses. Check it out here: bit.ly/2lwqHf9 Thanks to The Urban Developer, an online magazine and David Mousa for posting this.
24.01.2022 Nearly the end of Plastic Free July and I have to say I found it really hard to buy a lot of everyday products in anything other than plastic. We as a society are too reliant on it. This idea, if it works, could contribute a lot to cleaning up our oceans of plastic that gets thrown out every year. Good on this teenager for coming up with the idea. Now, we need to educate people more to reduce what goes into the ocean and landfill from now on, so one day these towers will be not required.
24.01.2022 What a ripper - I had to share this gorgeous photo of Elizabeth Quay!
21.01.2022 This is so clever! I wonder how the energy output in this process compares with the energy output in the making of the same sized piece of glass?
20.01.2022 What a clever idea!
20.01.2022 I love the start of spring!
19.01.2022 Ephemeral and beautiful art, love it!
19.01.2022 Park's Week starts tomorrow, from the 4 - 12th of March. A quote from the Parks Week website highlighting why park's are so important to everyone: "Parks play a vital role in creating liveable cities and thriving communities. They are our most frequented spaces for recreational activities and provide opportunities for tourism, conservation and the social interaction that is vital for a connected and resilient population."... Get down to your local park and enjoy. If you want to visit one I have designed, go visit Jubilee Park in Success, off Hammond Road. It's only been finished for a few weeks. Here are some photos for you to enjoy.....
12.01.2022 Well done Greenpeace, awareness for the plight of bees and how beneficial they are to our food production is essential!
11.01.2022 This is my kind of apartment building - part Gaudi, part tree house! I hope we see many more apartments looking like this in the future and less of the modern, sterile boxes that are currently being built. Location and architect/builder mentioned in the article. 08.01.2022 Not really a Happy Friday post as per usual, but important nonetheless. Happy Friday everyone!
08.01.2022 I couldn't resist posting this! Happy Friday everyone! :)
07.01.2022 Another fantastic sculpture called Deconstructed - this one by Regardt van der Meulen. Along similar lines as the sculpture by Penny Hardy called ''You Blew Me Away'' posted back in January this year.
