24.01.2022 Did you know that a body corporate is automatically created when you register your strata title, and there are some things you have to do by law? We’ll do them ...for you, so you can focus on what you do best. We’ll set things ready for sale, to make your life easier - and to make your units more saleable. The market is demanding established bodies corporate, and you’ll enhance your reputation if your units offer a happy, hassle free lifestyle for your purchasers. We’ll do the following for you Strata Insurance - We’re insurance brokers as well, trading as Strata Insurance Brokers Tasmania (visit www.stratainsurancetas.com.au to learn more). We’ll get quotes for your strata insurance, and put it in place as soon as the certificates of occupancy are issued (this is usually when cover ceases under the builder’s insurance). Certificates of currency - We’ll issue certificates of currency. As you’d know, they’re usually asked for at the last minute and delays can hold up settlements. Staged development schemes - We’ll work with your land surveyor to set your SDS up so you don’t have to pay the lion’s share of the levies after stage 1. First Annual General Meeting - You’re required by law to run the first AGM. We’ll run it for you while you’re the sole member of the body corporate, and we’ll put things in place ready for settlement of your sales contracts. We can run it in person or by email, depending on your preference Budget - We’ll prepare a budget to show your purchasers that unit developments aren’t expensive By-laws - Our tailored by-laws make our developments pet friendly.
