In most bathrooms or first aid kits you're bound to find a blister pack or two - aka the sheets with metal backing and plastic bubbles containing tablets Thanks to Chemists' Own, this complex packaging made of metal and plastic can be recycled once it's empty! The Chemists' Own Blister Pack Recycling Program accepts all brands of over-the-counter blister packs in-store at 50 Australian pharmacies, such as Woodend Pharmacy in Victoria. Originally declared to commemorate the anniversary of the extinction of the Tasmanian tiger in 1936 we now use the day to raise awareness of plants and animals which face extinction. Here we have the albatross, one of the most at risk birds due to all the ocean plastic they consume. In the 1960s it was found that approximately 5% of seabirds had ingested plastic, however this number is now predicted to be 99% of seabirds by 2050 Ensure your waste stays out of the ocean by recycling it. 24.01.2022 Thanks to the hard work of all our collectors we have just reached a milestone for the Jurlique Recycling Program! 120,000 empty products have been collected so that we can give them a second life. Visit https://bit.ly/2DFaAKy to learn more about the program. But 100% recyclable packaging isn't the only thing Jurlique is doing for the environment. In fact during August, Jurlique will be planting a tree for every bottle of Activating Water Essence sold. The trees will be planted in Cudlee Creek, SA which was badly affected by the bushfires last summer and is just 38 km from the Jurlique farm.
