23.01.2022 Jodie Solomons is the calf manager at Donovans Dairy, in Mount Gambier. Jodie explains her experience using #Mylo. In the autumn calving we normally expect to wean about 400 to 500 hundred heifers and we'll rear a hundred bull calves in the autumn. We've had to use a lot of electrolytes to keep them going. A lot of tubing involved. Since using the Mylo at the last calving we only lost two calves from sickness. We decided to try Mylo. Terragen Biotech had one of your seminars...Continue reading

23.01.2022 #Mylo an excellent fit for organic dairy in Rushworth, Victoria Mylo was added to the calf milk on a daily basis and we didn’t have any hiccups at all. It is an excellent product. Jake Perry said. Mylo feed supplement has been instrumental in keeping calves growing and healthy on the organic dairy enterprise of Jake and Helene.... Jake said they had recently converted their farm to certified organic and have taken a more holistic approach to all of their farming practices. We had been looking for new products to increase production and improve herd productivity and health, Mr Perry said. Helene and I were excited when we came across the Mylo feed supplement as a certified organic product designed to help increase the growth and development of our calves, he said. Prior to the organic certification, the dairy had been farmed conventionally and there had been development issues in calves from birth through to weaning. Mylo was added to the calf milk on a daily basis and we didn’t have any hiccups at all. It is an excellent product. he said. I didn’t use any other products to maintain health this calving season, which is unusual, and the calves grew well. More information at: https://mylofeedsupplement.com.au//mylo-an-excellent-fit-/

22.01.2022 #Mylo the backbone for animal health on Warragul farm, Victoria. From how we see it, there must be better gut health because Mylo helped to achieving a dramatic improvement in the health of our calves this year" Will Colbert, at Warragul, in the Gippsland region of Victoria. Mylo microbial feed supplement was instrumental in helping the weaker calves on the dairy property of Will Colbert. Mr Colbert share farms 360 cows on the property. The enterprise rears calves from May t...hrough to July and, with increased rainfall during the winter period, Will has seen the calves not doing so well. Mylo is a live microbial feed supplement with bacteria designed to aid in building the population of microbes in the calf’s stomach. Generally the calves were fed as a group of 12, with Mylo fed at 10 mL per calf per day. Mylo also mixed in particularly well with the milk and there wasn’t any residue left in the bottom of the calf feeder or in the bucket. By feeding it to all the calves it was a broad-spectrum approach that we are certain helped to achieve better health conditions, Mr Colbert said. Mr Colbert said the weaker calves came through well and will grow into good, producing heifers. From how we see it, there must be better gut health because Mylo helped to achieving a dramatic improvement in the health of our calves this year. 20.01.2022 The second part of the 2019/20 season Terragen Biotech #GreatLand Biological Soil Conditioner Vineyard trial program, highlighted seeded and shot berries consistency. Quantifying of the number of seeded berries and shot berries revealed noteworthy differences between the Great Land and Control plots. Supporting visual observations that the presence of the ‘Hen and Chicken’ characteristic (a condition where grape berries are aborted due to stress during flowering) was less ...in Great Land plots. This impact is likely to be an important contributor to the differences in yield results. The Trial yield result summary concluded: Yield estimation methods used standard industry practice and overseen by independent assessors. Similar trends across all trials and commercial vineyards provide evidence of positive impact from Great Land soil application. Yield responses in different environments and conditions will be variable. Assessments at EL-35 showed a higher portion of seeded berries and observed reduction in ‘hen and chicken’ in plots with soil-applied Great Land. This is consistent with higher final harvest yields recorded. #Vineyards #Vines #Grapes #Wineries #Australia For more information visit: https://greatlandsoilconditioner.com.au//great-land-vine/ Fuel your farm with high performance bacteria

19.01.2022 Major advantages with #Mylo in organic dairy. Mulgundawa, South Australia They are gaining weight a bit better, are more sparkly and seem to be happy. Mark Chandler Mylo has helped calves develop faster and provided some major advantages on the organic dairy of Mark and Jenny Chandler, at Mulgundawa, in South Australia.... Mr Chandler said they had been organic dairy producers since 2002 and had faced numerous challenges over the years. Initially production took a hit because we couldn’t promote growth and regrowth, he said. We had to look at alternatives. Last season he introduced Mylo feed additive, from #TerragenBiotech, into the calf program and has been impressed with the results. He said the key to Mylo was its ability to keep the calves healthy in those vital early stages. It’s mostly about having a healthy animal then good growth will follow, he said. It is the starting point of the cow’s life when they have the best chance to establish a well-developed rumen. Mr Chandler said a comparison of the calves with Mylo and the calves without Mylo showed significant differences. Each calf receives 10ml of Mylo per day which is mixed with whole milk direct from the dairy. They are gaining weight a bit better, are more sparkly and seem to be happy, Mr Chandler said. I don’t have any reason to stop using it. He said the success of Mylo in the calves had meant they were looking at its potential in the older stock. The dairy currently milks 500 cows and is looking to expand to 700 cows. Three of the Chandler family members Simon, Jessica and Kane, are also working on the enterprise. 13.01.2022 #MYLO aids in better health for calves at GV Creamery, Undera, Victoria Sonia Chandler has been using MYLO for some time. We calf down about 800 to a 1000 heifer calves a year. It’s something I’ve loved for a long time. It’s just what I do. I like the challenge and I like working with the calves. It’s a nice job. I get them within hours of birth till probably two weeks after weaning. Sonia says I suppose health would be the biggest challenge.... I was working at a calf farm and the calves were not as vigorous as I thought they should be. A girlfriend was telling me about MYLO, so I called the representative he came out to see us and the change overnight in those calves was just amazing. The next morning after receiving MYLO, we get there and they’re all up looking for a drink and that convinced me that was it. I knew then what a difference it actually made to calves. We just use a dispenser set on 10 mil. We put our first bit of milk in and then we just go along and put the MYLO in. So I basically seed the gut with MYLO right from the start and then it’s continued on until weaning. I think you’ve just got bigger, healthier calves. They wean really well if the calves feeling well it’s going to eat grain, it’s going to eat straw, it’s going to drink water, it’s going to do all the right things. I’ve been through times before MYLO where you know you come to the calf shed and you think oh that one’s sick and that one’s sick. It’s nice walking over here knowing everything’s going to be fine. You know like any intensive system we’ve had challenges but we’ve overcome it. Been brilliant. It makes the calves more vigorous and happy because their gut is working correctly they’re easy because it’s like a booster from the inside out. It just works really well I think it makes the calves more resilient because they’re healthier. It makes a big difference to antibiotic use when you’ve got to go from pen to pen and treat them. Yeah it’s not only expensive, it costs a lot even just in time. I would say just try it and just see what the difference it makes. You won’t be sorry. If you want to give something a try give MYLO a try. More information visit: https://mylofeedsupplement.com.au//mylo-aids-in-better-he/

09.01.2022 Excellent results shown in Cows and Calves with #Mylo Goon Nure, Gippsland, Victoria You only need to save one or two heifer calves and you’ve paid for it... The addition of the microbial feed supplement, Mylo, contributed to a very good spring calving season on the dairy property of Rick Blackshaw, of Goon Nure, in the Gippsland region of Victoria. Mr Blackshaw milks 450 cows with two thirds of the herd calving in spring and the remainder in the autumn. Prior to last season’s spring calving, a local agronomist suggested Mylo could be a good option as part of the calf diet. We had a look at it and decided to give it a go, Mr Blackshaw said. We had 350 spring calves and they all received 10 ml of Mylo per day. We had an excellent calving season and there were very few weak calves. he said. I wouldn’t rear calves again without Mylo. The enterprise has individual head bales for each calf and so every animal received 5 litres of milk each morning along with the 10 ml of Mylo. Each animal receives the same amount of milk with Mylo supplement. You only need to save one or two heifer calves and you’ve paid for it, Mr Blackshaw said. We had people tell us the calves were strong and vigorous. It was good to get an unbiased point of view but we could also see it in the amount they ate and the rate of growth. Mr Blackshaw has also started using Mylo in the dairy. He has observed an improvement in health of the cows and hopes to see subsequent benefits in productivity. 08.01.2022 Heat scorching resilience in vines with Great Land In the 2019/20 season Terragen Biotech ran the #GreatLand Biological Soil Conditioner trial program, to include three new commercial #vineyard sites in #SouthAustralia. The aim of all trials was to assess #vine resilience against environmental stress, fruit set, general vine health, interim #grape yields (using bunch counts and weights), and mature grape harvest yields. The first part of the trial highlighted heat scorching... resilience in vines. A notable difference was observed at the Upper Tintara vineyard, McLaren Flat (South Australia) in regard to impacts from heat damage on vine leaves. The observation lead to an additional assessment to quantify the extent of leaf scorching. The assessment was conducted on four to six panels from each of the zones of interest, recording the number of green leaves with scorching present, as indicated in pictures. The counts were conducted in late-December 2019. This is a difference of approximately 2.5 times less scorching in vines where Great Land was applied to the soil, compared to untreated zones confirming the easily visible difference observed in the vines. Further investigation is needed to determine the nutritional components that may be influencing this outcome. 06.01.2022 The completion of the 2019/20 season demonstrated very strong outcomes in the #GreatLand Biological Soil Conditioner trial program. In a challenging season across South Australia, many vineyards have suffered from frost damage, high winds leading to poor flower set, high summer temperatures and high levels of vine stress. We have demonstrated with trials at commercial operations that Great Land has been important in helping with risk mitigation. Great Land improves availa...bility of nutrients in the soil which can result in improved root activity, plant productivity and the ability of the plant to better cope with environmental pressures. In addition, Great Land improves soil conditions that enhances other beneficial biology which make more nutrients available to plants. This series of trials showed an improvement in yield, or estimated yield, across all three commercial block trials. While the yield differences between trials was variable, the results indicate that Great Land is having an overall positive influence on vineyard performance and health.
