25.01.2022 Before you begin planning your dream home you will need to commission a soil report to test the site you plan to build on. It will detail the stability of natural slopes, the composition of the soil and various other details that structural engineers need to know in order to prepare your plans.

25.01.2022 No detail left to chance. We're proud to announce that we have partnered with Lovelight to include magnificent pre-priced window furnishings in every Terren design. So when you see your verified build price you will know that every last detail has been taken into consideration. Photographed by: Shannon McGrath

24.01.2022 Working from home has created more enquiries than ever before for dedicated home studies. We love this one from S&K Group's Norwood house.

22.01.2022 Coming soon... The first Terren Collection. Ready to build plans, adjusted to your land and specifications. Our plans are fully quoted for price surety BUT they can be built by any builder you choose. That's how Terren clients will have plans they are locked on but not locked in.

22.01.2022 There are certain elements that will definitely feature in the interior of every Terren design - like full height glazing, as seen in this image from the Ghent region in Belgium. That's because large windows and glass doors create a visual and physical connection with the exterior.

22.01.2022 Sharing the important definitions that you'll need to understand in order to purchase or maximise the perfect block for your family home.

22.01.2022 Terren is different. We are not a builder and we are not a regular architecture practice. What we offer is accessible architecture. Each of our homes can be adjusted to your land and specifications within weeks, not months, and at half the cost of architectural plans from scratch. Then the plans are yours tender or build with whomever you choose to trust. https://terren.com.au/about/

20.01.2022 Whether you build a Terren home, a traditional architecturally designed home or a volume/custom build you will always need to engage an independent building surveyor. It's their job to ensure that buildings adhere to all manners of the building code.

19.01.2022 While our Architects are busy designing the Terren collection we wanted to give you a glimpse into the images that are inspiring them, like the facade brickwork and the depth of the openings in this design by Belgium Architect, Marc Merckx.

18.01.2022 Want another sneak peek into the interior inspiration for Terren? Take a look at this example of open plan living, butler's pantry, feature lighting and stone benchtops in the Norwood home, designed and built by S&K Group.

17.01.2022 Things to know before you build: prior to purchase of a Terren design you will need to provide your land survey which our team will use to determine the suitability of your land for one of our designs. Speak to us if you need a recommendation for a great land surveyor in your area.

16.01.2022 Terren homes are designed for families by families. This means multiple living spaces, play spaces and enough storage for all a family's bits and pieces are considered as part of our cohesive family ready designs.

15.01.2022 Terren benefit number 1: Time. Instead of waiting months to see your plans - with Terren you'll have your plans, and everything you need to get going, shortly after purchase.

15.01.2022 "As an architect, I deal with all sorts of different clients and families with, as you can imagine, a huge variance in what they want, need and are willing to spend. So why, over and over, was I hearing of so many similar problems, barriers and miscommunications between clients, architects and builders?" Architect Paul Kegen discusses the common problems that led to the Terren solution. terren.com.au/blog/why-we-created-terren/

13.01.2022 Terren plans will include everything you need to proceed straight to building or tendering your home. Of course, that includes structural engineering prepared by a highly regarded industry specialist.

12.01.2022 The flow of a home is an important consideration for every Terren design. Instead of just "fitting" the requisite bedrooms and bathrooms etc. we think about your movement through the space. We make sure our designs include open spaces, high ceilings and large wide corridors that enable conversation as you walk side by side rather than in single file.

12.01.2022 We're just days away from launching the first Terren collection! Within these designs, you'll discover that every small detail has been meticulously considered - like recessed ceiling pelmets for Lovelight window furnishings.

11.01.2022 Galassia. The magnificent G-Lux natural stone that we have specified for one of our Terren colour schemes. I don't know about you but I could get lost staring into the natural patterns and movement in this slab.

10.01.2022 Accessible Architecture. It's something completely new to the market so we want to say a huge THANK YOU to those of you who are eagerly awaiting the release of the full Terren website in order to view the Botanical Collection and its accompanying floorplans. The website is imminent but in the meantime, if you would like to see any of our designs please email [email protected] and we will send all the details through to you ahead of our launch.

09.01.2022 Great designs, like those which you can expect from Terren, should take into account the flow between different zones like services, living, eating and sleeping.

09.01.2022 Introducing Wisteria // Building on its strong base the Wisteria ground cover supports magnificent flowers above. So too, the Terren Wisteria takes a fully realised ground level home and adds to it the crown of a luxurious master retreat. Full details and the ability to customise your Terren design coming next week. Image created by: LARGE ARTS

07.01.2022 The verified build price that we will provide on our website, is designed to be indicative of what your chosen home and selections can be constructed for by an experienced builder. The goal is to give you confidence and assurance in the price of the finished product. Of course, it doesn’t mean that every builder would build the home for that price, but it means it certainly CAN be constructed for that price.

06.01.2022 Easing into the new year... If you are putting off planning your new build because it all feels too overwhelming-we find its good to start by picturing one single image of where you would like to be and then go from there. And, what better place to start than in this magnificent tub. https://terren.com.au/blog/collection/viola/

05.01.2022 Why compromise? At Terren we know there are plenty of people who want a fully architectural home, with every amenity taken into consideration, that also sits comfortably on one single level. That’s why we designed Viola, our sprawling ground level beauty.

05.01.2022 Who doesn't love a good curve?! We’re planning to incorporate luxuriously curved walls to open up the exterior and interior spaces of Terren homes, much like New Zealand Architect Paul Davidson has done in this North Shore design.

05.01.2022 The four designs in the Terren Botanical Collection can be adjusted to your land and specifications within a matter of weeks at half the price of Architectural plans from scratch. Our ready-to-build plans even include structural engineering and thermal assessment (above 6 star).
