15.01.2022 UPDATE: 4:25pm 29 January - Terrigal Lagoon has reopened for recreational activities, however it is advised not to swim for 3 days following rainfall. NOTICE T...O RESIDENTS: We have temporarily closed Terrigal Lagoon for swimming following a sewer overflow in the area. Council crews have been onsite, have contained the overflow and are working quickly to remediate the issue. Signage has been placed in the area but it is not yet known when the area will be reopened. We apologise for any inconvenience and will provide an update as soon as possible. With any blockage or overflow reported to us, our primary concern is the health and safety of the public and our environment. We follow strict procedures to contain and control, then investigate and remediate. Breaks and leaks will periodically occur across all sewer systems. We have crews on standby 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and we encourage the community to continue letting us know day or night about any sewer issues so we can resolve them quickly by calling 1300 463 954. #CCCWater

02.01.2022 SIGNAGE NEAR TERRIGAL HAVEN BOARDWALK re The Marine Enviroment in the Haven Area. The Terrigal Haven Supporters (THS) is a community based and led collective that represents the views, opinions, makes submissions and lobbies governments on matters that the community has a passion, interest and or has identified a need associated with/in the Terrigal Beach and Haven Precinct. The THS is an active member of the Terrigal Water Quality Sub Committee, which was established under ...the Catchments and Coast Committee for Brisbane Water and Gosford Lagoons, as convened by the Central Coast Council. Our community has expressed a desire to have marine environment signage at the Terrigal Boardwalk (the Boardwalk) that encourages visitors and locals a like to learn about and respect the marine environment at the Terrigal Haven and surrounds. The placement of marine environment signage at like locations is commonplace within New South Wales such as at Cabbage Tree Bay, Manly, Sydney. To date THS has spoken with the New South Wales Government Member for Terrigal Mr Adam Crouch MP, Government Whip and Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast, about the proposition of marine environment signage being installed at the Boardwalk. Adam is very supportive of the idea and has expressed a willingness to get involved in a project that would deliver marine environment signage at the Boardwalk. The installation of marine environment signage as part of the Terrigal Boardwalk project has also been discussed with representatives from Central Coast Council, local education and tourism providers/operators and businesses with enthusiastic support and encouragement given. It would be appreciated if Project Develop from CCC can meet with us to discuss how best to progress the community’s desire for the installation of marine environment signage at the Terrigal Boardwalk. Look forward to hearing from you appreciating that the Boardwalk opening is scheduled during February 2021. Terrigal Haven Supporters

However So much had been achieved so far that CCC have published comprehensive reports about this project. These are easily found in the following link.
