25.01.2022 Welcome to The Terry Floyd Foundation The Terry Floyd Foundation was set up in memory of Terry Floyd, aged 12, who was abducted and murdered while waiting for a lift home from Avoca to Maryborough, Victoria, on 28 June 1975. The Foundation was established in March 2019 by Daryl Floyd, Terry's younger brother, in response to the overwhelming support for the search for Terry. This inspired Daryl, and a small group of volunteers, to set up the foundation focusing on turning Terr...y's legacy into a positive by making children's lives better. The belief and vision of The Terry Floyd Foundation is to help support children live brighter futures. The main aims of the foundation are - To help with awareness of personal safety through encouraging children to speak out against bullying - To support disadvantaged children to help them reach their full potential. #buildingbrighterfuturesforkids See more

19.01.2022 Yesterday we were privileged to speak to another Principal at another remote Primary School . Marie who is the Principal at Carra PS was absolutely over the moon about the upcoming scholarship from the Foundation that is heading their way but also we spoke of the other upcoming programs we are working on for the start of the 2021 School year . These consist of excursions , camping trips ( now that the kids can go on camps again ) and one of these will be to a really special place , a Wildlife sanctuary where they can camp overnight and feed the animals . How cool is that.. This is the rewarding part that we achieve for , so to all the guys at the Foundation for all of their hard work and to ALL of sponsors and supporters a huge THANK YOU for Helping Us Help the Kids #buildingbrighterfuturesforkids
17.01.2022 Today we were finally able to catch-up with the Principals ( via phone ) at some of our nominated schools set down for this year’s Scholarships. Also we were able to give them the good news about the offer from 123Read2Me in relation to getting some reading resources out to them. To say they were soooooo greatful is an understatement. As you will so understand with the current situation we are ALL dealing with , funding is very limited for our special little learners so to be able to make this happen is so rewarding . This would not be possible without our sponsors and the huge support we get from everyone out there , so , we can not Thank you enough for Helping Us Help The Kids Terry Floyd Foundation #buildingbrighterfuturesforkids

17.01.2022 Here at the Foundation we are One Big family with some very remarkable people that support our cause. None more so than these 2 inspirational amazing human beings . Today Faye & Mark remember their loving son Matty on his 13th anniversary.. so what we would like to ask of our loyal supporters and members to remember Matty today by lighting a candle and sending your thoughts to Matty’s amazing Parents and Family members . Sometimes people say that time helps things heal.. l can tell you in these circumstances..NO it doesn’t.!
17.01.2022 Now this is a Feel Good Friday story .. Huge Thank you to the Guys at 123 Read 2 Me for thinking of us with an offer for numerous schools to receive a very special offer for a large array of books to be donated to their nominated school. As you may recall 123 Read 2 Me was another intricate part of the Bushfire appeal at the start of the year . Well they have continued their amazing work helping more schools throughout Victoria and we are just over the moon that we have been offered as one of their recipients. So we are now sorting through schools throughout Victoria to make this possible for them.. what a way to finish the week.. #buildingbrighterfuturesforkids

04.01.2022 Another remarkable person we welcome to the Terry Floyd Foundation , Charlie Bezzina For several months now we have been working together with Charlie about how we can deliver a program to schools to assist students who may be at risk due to the choices they are making in life. So we have developed a program called Decision Making which we were hopeful to be able to deliver at the end of this year but due to current circumstances this won’t be possible until the start of ...the school term next year. With Charlie’s vast experience within the Victorian Police he has seen the effects some ‘Bad decision making’ can have on families so he is not only very qualified but also very passionate. So we welcome Charlie to the Terry Floyd Foundation. Another intricate part of the team at our foundation in delivering our vision. Terry Floyd Foundation #buildingbrighterfuturesforkids See more
