21.01.2022 A MAGNIFICENT SUNRISE This morning.

20.01.2022 CLIMBS THE STAIRS ONCE AGAIN Back on the solid ground works a treat for UP THE STAIRS as he gives his owners the winning feeling once again. It was a terrific ride from Adrian Layt who took advantage of the rail draw to settle the son of Savoire Vivre on the rail a couple lengths back. Once the 7YO got clear air in the straight he started reeling them and with a surging finish found them wanting late. Congratulations to all involved Owners - Mr R Khoury, Mr R Khoury, Mr M Haifa, Mr B Hussary, Mr G S Meek, Mrs D Smith, Mrs N Barbuto, Mrs C Rhook, Mrs G Laws, Mrs M C Thurston, Mrs S Simms, Mr F Partridge, Mrs S M Partridge, Mr A G Long, Mr A Raper, Mr N Brown, Mr T Evans, Mr J R Hurst

15.01.2022 First horse this morning. Up The Stairs

14.01.2022 It was an eye catching display by BOUQUETS who let down powerfully to have the caller scrambling for the name of the horse storming home down the outside. The 4YO Cluster mare was good first up at Port Macquarie and stepping up to the 1200m she responded beautifully under Leah Kilner to almost cause a boil over at 70/1.

13.01.2022 A+ for racing wining celebrations UP THE STAIR wins at Muswellbrook Congratulations Mr R Khoury, Mr R Khoury, Mr M Haifa, Mr B Hussary, Mr G S Meek, Mrs D Smith, Mrs N Barbuto, Mrs C Rhook, Mrs G Laws, Mrs M C Thurston, Mrs S Simms, Mr F Partridge, Mrs S M Partridge, Mr A G Long, Mr A Raper, Mr N Brown, Mr T Evans, Mr J R Hurst

01.01.2022 Kickstart for Sam carries 10-year-old boy's name forward Nicholas Brooks Local News... Jockey Alysha Collett atop Kickstart for Sam.+4 It might not have crossed the line first, but three-year-old bay gelding Kickstart for Sam still made a lot of people happy in the 1000m Forster Bowling Club 3YO Maiden Handicap at Tuncurry on Monday. The horse finished eighth in its first start, but it was what Kickstart for Sam represented that mattered most to part-owners Chris McMaster, David Sheridan, Jenny Callaghan, Adele Mazoudier, John Bollard, Carole Ferguson and Bob Nelson. The group bought a 10 per cent share in the horse when it was donated for auction by Rainbow Flat trainer Terry Evans at the Samuel Brett Nelson Kickstart Foundation trivia night last June. The trivia night was held to raise money for the foundation; a charity that benefits disadvantaged children in the Great Lakes. It was started by Steve and Nikki Nelson following the sudden death of their 10-year-old son Sam in 2017. Mr McMaster said as soon as the horse went up for auction there was no way anyone else was getting a look in. The majority of us are long-time friends of the Nelsons," he said. "It was our way of supporting the foundation they've got going which is doing so much good in the community." The group approached the horse's other owners about naming it in honour of Sam, and following their approval, Mr Evans, who continued to train the horse, registered its name with Racing NSW. Mr McMaster said it was a joyous occasion to all come together and watch Kickstart for Sam's first race on Monday. "It was fantastic," he said. Steve and Nikki Nelson were also on hand and Mrs Nelson admitted it was very special to watch the horse race in her son's name, even if it didn't win. "It was lovely," she said. "I had a little chat to Sam but there's only so much a little boy in heaven can do."
