18.01.2022 I am still getting used to this "professional" facebook and I am not sure if my last post went out so here are a couple more "Forgotten Classics" A"A Lucky Country" Donald Horne-( Horne suggests we are not that lucky. "Goulds Book of Fishes" by Richard Flanagan A work of fiction which combines many of the true stories of convict Tasmania and while we are at it. "For the term of his natural life" by Marcus Clarke - Gory but intriguing
17.01.2022 I spent part of the school holidays looking after my grandchildren. Two of them decided to help me work on my next book! I'm not sure all their ideas will make it into the book but it certainly was quality time together.

15.01.2022 OZ day yesterday made me think of some of the great books by OZ authors. Off the top of my head and in no order, I have listed some titles that are not mainstream, are classics and are worth a read: Man Shy by Frank Dalby Davidson - a cow gets uppity Dark Emu by Bruce Pascoe corrects some myths about the first inhabitants once you get below the politics On the beach and A town like Alice by Neville Shute. Shute is a forgotten author but wrote some very readable ripper stuff. Lets call it Forgotten Classics. What do you think ?
