24.01.2022 CHANTILLY FARM TOUR & CANUNGRA LUNCH Friday 16th November 2018 Today after our northbound pickups, we make our way into our picturesque hinterland. Terry takes us to Canungra for a lovely morning tea before making our way to Witheren. Situated at the base of Mt Tamborine is Witheren, a small farming community and our destination today, Chantilly Hydroponic Farm. This commercial farm is run by Bec and her family and we are treated to a guided tour of the Hydroponic activities ...which include produce like lettuces, seedlings, edible flowers and harvesting of crops. We get to have a little sampling and tasting of the produce and some time with the many pigs, goats and other farm animals. After a lovely morning we make our way into Canungra for lunch today at the Canungra Hotel. We have a Main Meal with Dessert as well. There will be a little time here before we head for home with a comfort stop along the way. Cost: $65.00 See more

20.01.2022 EXPLORE REDCLIFFE & The newly refurbished BEE GEE’S MEMORIAL Monday 18th February 2019 Tour No. 1147 As we head north today we make our way to the bay side suburb of Redcliffe. Set amid Moreton, Bramble and Deception Bays, Redcliffe, has become a very popular holiday area. We head straight for Hornibrook Esplanade for the pelican feeding at the Pelican Park Information Centre, where we also enjoy morning tea and pick up our Tour Guide. Probably the most famous Redcliffe ‘expo...rts’ would be the Bee Gee’s, who started their career off as bare foot singers in Redcliffe and went on to become mega stars worldwide. Redcliffe now has a wonderful Memorial and bronze statue to commemorate the history of these remarkable brothers. In the last 2 years Redcliffe Council has spent a further 2 1/2 million dollars refurbishing the memorial which now has a covered walk way and plays some of the fabulous music created by these amazing brothers. We have time to stroll the memorial before heading to lunch at the very popular Dolphins Leagues Club for a Main meal, Sweets and tea/coffee. After a delicious lunch we have time to visit the Redcliffe Museum and Historical Centre before we make our way home over the Gateway Bridge for a comfort stop at Yatala Pies. 15.01.2022 The ICONIC Broncos Club with Ronnie Christie and a Christmas Sing-a-long Thursday 6th December 2018 We once again return to the ever popular Broncos. Today after our northbound pickups and a morning tea stop, we head to Brisbane and the Bronco’s Leagues Club. The Club has undergone many changes over the last couple of years so we thought it was time to re-visit this great venue. The morning starts with entertainment by the always popular Ronnie Christie. Sit back and enjoy all your old time favourites and a bit of a Christmas Sing-a-Long as only Ronnie can sing them. Today we have a two course Lunch in the restaurant with a Roast, Dessert and tea/coffee included. (the buffet is no longer available for lunches). 09.01.2022 The HISTORIC SHORNCLIFFE PIER & FULL MOON HOTEL LUNCH Tuesday 26th February 2019 Tour No. 1150 We head north today and travel to the Bayside suburb of Sandgate. We have morning tea at Decker Park then make our way to the Historical Museum to pick up our Guide for the day. There will be time to visit the Shorncliffe Pier, Brisbane's largest timber pier was originally constructed in 1880. It is one of the longest recreational piers in Australia at 350 meters long, jutting out i...nto majestic, Bramble Bay. The Pier has just under gone a complete makeover as much of the old structure was rotting with age. They have made many improvements but tried to maintain its heritage appeal. It boasts a large Rotunda near the end of the Pier, perfect for those wishing to make the leisurely stroll to the end. We make our way into Sandgate and the stop at the Full Moon Hotel for lunch, with a choice of Mains and tea or coffee. Marcia’s on Montague is QLD’s largest Gift, Homeware and Organics Emporium with items from kitchen, electrical, cookware and tabletop (and Ladies...not forgetting Shoes and Bags)! In all the top... brands available. We then make our way to the famous Southbank Lifestyle Markets. We find hundreds of stalls with unique gifts, fashion, home wares and collectables. Lunch can be purchased at one of the many venues at your own expense today. Let’s hope you can find that perfect gift!! As we head for home we stop at The Christmas Shack at Slacks Creek. With one of the largest ranges of Christmas decorations in Queensland, you will think you are in Santa’s workshop! Remember there will be a bit of walking today. 07.01.2022 BEAUTIFUL BRIBIE ISLAND Monday 14th January 2019 After our northbound pickups we travel over the Gateway Bridge, stopping at Nudgee Beach for our morning tea. We reboard the coach and journey onto Bribie Island. With sheltered bays for swimming, sailing, fishing and surfing, this island is a secluded getaway from the hectic pace of nearby city life. Bribie is one of the Moreton Bay Island groups, discovered by Mathew Flinders in 1799. It is renowned for its magnificent birdlife and wildflowers. We pick up our friendly Guide for a very informative Tour of the Island before making our way to the Bribie RSL. Lunch can be purchased own expense today in the air-conditioned comfort at this friendly RSL club. After lunch we make our way home with a comfort stop along the way. Coach, M/Tea, Guided Tour. 04.01.2022 BYRON BAY SOLAR TRAIN & LUNCH Friday 1st February 2019 Tour No. 1143A Today we head south and pause for morning tea along the way. In December 2017 the Byron Bay Railroad Company launched the world’s first Solar Powered Train... with its unique, zero emissions. The two-carriage rail set was constructed in Sydney in 1942-1945. These carriages where a vital part of post war travel around the country. The train now runs along a 3km section of the original Casino to Murwillumbah line. We board the train at the North Beach Station for the 10-minute ride to Byron Bay Station, right in the heart of Byron. Its here we disembark for about an hour with time to browse through Byron Bay. We then reboard the Train for our 10minute return journey back to North Beach. We then make our way across the road to the Sun Bistro for our lunch today. This family owned Bistro with its charming timber deck over looking the gardens is a great way to end our day. Lunch today is a Main meal and Dessert with tea/coffee.
