25.01.2022 There has been a lot of exceitment in the centre over the last two weeks with our Henny Penny Egg Experience. Delievered in an incubator the children and staff have had the opportunity to watch the chickens hatch from eggs and transition into an open glassed chicken pen as they grow strong enough.

24.01.2022 Terry Street Kids are participating in a reverse advent Calendar this year. Please feel free to share and help support this event that aids families and people of the Illawarra and Shoalhaven who are struggling and or starting afresh.

24.01.2022 Our Butterfly children noticed our stingless bees were out of the hive this afternoon. Our observation prompted a lot of questions for us to explore.

23.01.2022 A beautiful winters morning the children enjoyed using the clay and metal animals outside to explore and extend on their ideas. Using the structured animals as inspiration the children were encouraged to mould similar shapes to form animals of their own.

15.01.2022 A reminder to our families that tomorrow is our annual Funky Bugs Concert! all children are invited to attend but those who aren’t enrolled tomorrow will need to need to be accompanied by an adult. The show will begin at 10am, followed by a special lunch. Hope to see you all there :)

14.01.2022 Thank you for all the well wishes sent through Mum and the girls over the last few days. Liam and I are so over the moon with our beautiful baby boy. Missing the smiling faces at school already and looking forward to coming to visit with Harvey very soon --- Sarah

14.01.2022 The Butterfly room enjoyed helping Kerry get the chicken coop ready this morning as we get ready to transition our chickens to their new home. Keeping a watchful eye over the chicks it was a great opportunity for discussion as the children fed them grass and discussed what they were doing.

10.01.2022 DONT JUST UNENROL YOUR CHILDREN FROM THEIR EARLY EDUCATION AND CARE CENTRES PLEASE !!!! There is so much uncertainty in the world at the moment and so many peop...le are losing their jobs, please dont add your child's educators to that list. I am NOT saying you should send them if you dont feel comfortable. What I am saying is DONT UNENROL THEM. Talk to your centre first. There are a number of things in place from the government to help families and to stop centres from going bankrupt but these measures are only helpful if the children STAY ENROLLED. Firstly, if you or your partner has lost their job or had your wages cut, you can go on to your mygov page and apply for temporary financial hardship. This means that the government will pay your childcare fees in FULL for 13 weeks. The government has also committed to paying the CCS portion of the fees in the event that the centres do go in to lock down. What this means for centres is that we can keep paying our educators, our rent, etc etc etc. It means that at the end of all of this, there will be centres to send your children to. I implore you, please speak to your centre director and find out your options, BEFORE just pulling your children out. It will make the world of difference to our sector. 05.01.2022 Following a suggestion from one of our parents Karen Johnson, Terry St Kids will now be collecting plastic bread tags for the Aussie Bread tags for wheelchairs. All bread tags may be left at Preschool , thanks for your help
