20.01.2022 from our President, Dr Russell Briese: hello to you all, and hoping you are faring ok in these times if the executive is representative of our group, chaplains in Australian universities are now somewhere between being homebound or returning to usual hours on campus, depending mostly on which pat of the country you find yourself in.... At our recent executive meeting, unsurprisingly, it was noted that a face to face conference is not feasible in Victoria this year. The possibility of a ( day?) conference online, with perhaps a keynote speaker, 2-3 workshops, and holding the AGM as part of that, is being considered. In August the executive amongst other things is meeting with ANZSSA representatives, as per the resolution of the 2019 AGM, to consider the logistics of how Professional Focus Group for Chaplaincy/Pastoral Care would be formed and operated. I hope these few lines are informative for you on where TCMA is at in these days.
