23.01.2022 Djangadi land. Beautiful afternoon watching the waves and the people dancing on them. And that golden gorgeous light. Ran like a mofo to get a shot of a whale, didn’t quite get there in time, still left the ocean stoked and why wouldn’t you with light like this. @ Crescent Head, New South Wales

15.01.2022 Djangadi land. Water, sky, last light of day. Which one do you like best? 1, 2 or 3? Magical moments by the sea.

14.01.2022 Djangadi land. The water washing in and out. I love how we can get in the ocean and wash off the energy that we are holding and return to ourselves. Or to the sea?

10.01.2022 Worimi land. Misty, rainy, moody, calm. Anyone else feeling like spending a day reading in bed in a cottage by the sea? I’m lying in a swag by the sea which is also very delicious. Our road trip ends at the end of this week. It’s been such a great time away and so fun to have my camera out each day. @ Myall Lakes National Park

04.01.2022 Tharawal land up to Eora land. From the Aiatsis map this is Kiama to Sydney. It’s beautiful country. After reading dark emu I have to wonder what it looked like for the thousands of years before. Before white man and colonisation and every messed up bit of that legacy. It’s still absolutely beautiful but it must have been something else. I’ve been reading Sand Talk and there’s a piece in there about rocks. I read it the day after I had walked along the rocks of wreck bay ...on the northern side of jervis bay. The whole time I was walking there I felt something. An echo of what was maybe? I don’t know. Stronger than I have in a long time. In Tyson’s Sand Talk he speaks specifically about rocks, their aliveness, their energy, the stories they hold. It felt like the most potent thing I could have read the day after walking across those rocks at wreck bay. @ Coogee, New South Wales See more
