24.01.2022 Sandhurst is a gated community in the City of Frankston, with 1,300 homes, built around two golf courses. The community features a gym, pool, restaurant, conference and events centre, gated playgrounds, beautiful waterways, plus 24-hour security. The development used TetraWal retaining wall solutions to define housing sites and around the scenic waterways to prevent erosion. We are focussed at present on getting people on the ground in East Gippsland to help with the rescue effort, and to ensure that affected Wildlife Shelters and Carers have the resources and help they need to meet their immediate needs and the needs of wildlife in their care. Donations are supporting wildlife carers in Victoria by providing enclosures and cages, medical materials, specialised animal feed and fuel for vehicles, all to get the help where and when it is needed. The loss of many millions of animals, and over 1.2 million hectares of habitat in Victoria alone, represents a huge blow to biodiversity and there is collective grief over these losses. 23.01.2022 Heres phase one of an installation in Wye River by CJ Henderson Builders. This ones an interesting example of the BAL-40 construction standards put in place in this region, following the 2015 Great Ocean Road bushfires. Steel and concrete retaining walls are specified as non-combustible materials and this project uses TetraWal galvanized steel posts with smooth face concrete sleepers in Natural Grey. This wall is installed along one facing of the driveway and you can see the significant slope of the land. The retaining wall will contain erosion and stop soil slippage onto the driveway. 19.01.2022 Were revisiting Sunburys Belleview Drive 6 months later. This long-term urban development plan integrates local businesses and housing, well-designed open spaces and park networks. You can see the birdseye view and streetscape views, featuring TetraWal with Woodgrain Concrete Sleepers in colour, Natural Grey. The retaining wall system also uses our custom cleat solutions to attach COLORBOND steel fencing for additional height and privacy as residential meets commercial. The sub-division offers some great views of the surrounding parklands and even features the upgraded Galaxyland park a great spot to entertain the kids.

19.01.2022 A before and after look at this 2014 development in Chirnside Park. The estate is called The Gardens and consists of 176 townhouses with a private pool, residents lounge and conference room. TetraWal was used extensively throughout the project with over 1,200 lineal metres of retaining walls featuring both concrete and treated pine sleepers, ranging from 400mm to 3.2 metres in height. The development was the brainchild of the Sunland Group and incredibly all 176 townhouses were sold before construction was complete, at a combined value of $86.2 million.

13.01.2022 We visited this project in 2018 and here it is today, its a rural property just outside Geelong that used TetraWal to create garden beds for agapanthus, olive trees and citrus. The gardens are now well established, the plants are thriving and the galvanized steel posts look as good as the day they were installed. Theres no substitute for quality Australian workmanship.

03.01.2022 Our fabrication team doesn’t just focus on our amazing TetraWal range of retaining wall solutions. Their expertise extends to other projects, like this one. We were recently asked to cut, supply and fabricate a number of 3D frames for a customer. We were supplied sketches for the project, rather than the usual fabrication drawings so we set to work, sourcing a detailer to convert the sketches. Then our workshop trades completed the relevant tasks from these drawings. We cut and fabricated the project to our customer’s satisfaction, all within one week and came in under budget! 02.01.2022 River Valley Estate in Sunshine North is a new housing development situated within 10km of Melbournes CBD on the site of an old quarry. The Estate is composed of steep sloping blocks that provide vistas of the Maribyrnong River, surrounding bushland and city views. The steep sloping land lends itself perfectly to TetraWal Retaining Walls which have been erected throughout the Estate, featured here with split stone concrete sleepers in colour, charcoal. 01.01.2022 Did you know that this week marks 101 years since our WWI diggers began construction on the Great Ocean Road to join isolated towns along the western Victorian coastline? The road now travels 243 kilometres along our coast and in the past few years has seen some significant investment to upgrade Australia’s most visited destination. Jon is something of an expert on galvanized steel, having spent over 30 years in the industry and worked across all areas of the production line; from maintenance and pre-treatment of steel, to dipping steel in molten zinc, and loading trucks. HDG is in Jons blood - his family started Kingfield Coatings back in 1983. For the past 16 years, Jon h...as worked with us at Geelong Galvanizing. Jons a hands-on guy and is our TetraWal specialist, working with our customers, organising production, staff and transport. He loves the industry and the products, saying that no two days are the same and this keeps him active.
