24.01.2022 An interesting learning experience at Pomona Fire Station was held on Saturday for SES executives from Pomona, Cooroy, Boreen Point and Tewantin in running an ICC ( Incident Control Centre).

23.01.2022 With a strong wind warning current for the rest of the weekend, please be aware that palms may have rot in the base of the trunk. Significant damage to a four wheel drive and a car was caused by a falling palm tree today. SES were there to help, call 132500.

18.01.2022 The Noosa SES members remain on standby to assist when called upon, however there are some things you can do to help yourself in the lead up to more severe weather: Keep your gardens and trees maintained. Keep your gutters clear. Ensure clear drainage around your house.... Listen to instructions and warnings. Keep an emergency kit. And only call 132 500 if it's an emergency or you cannot assist yourself. For more information visit our website. https://bit.ly/2vnMQ9f

18.01.2022 A perfect day for competency maintenance in the flood rescue boat on the Noosa River.

18.01.2022 Here are 2 photos of the new Noosa SES Unit bus. 1st pic is L to R, Bruce McDonald Tewantin Member, Phil Pane Deputy Group Leader Tewantin, and Warren Kuskopf Local Controller Noosa Unit picking the bus up from the Council workshop. This bus is generously provided by Noosa Council to replace our previous near 40 year old Coaster Bus. The Noosa Unit is greatly appreciative of this invaluable asset which will assist transporting our SES members to emergency activations and incidents as required within the Noosa Shire Community in times of need.

14.01.2022 A big thanks to the members of the Noosa SES unit for all their work over the past week supporting our brothers and sisters in the Rural Fire, Fire and Rescue and Police. There were some good times and many stories. Not only did we do road closures, but we went into the exclusion zone to pick up a companion dog, assist council workers to feed chickens, horses, cats, cattle and alpaca to name a few. Members also provided information and assistance at the Recovery Hub and ...the information stand at Bunnings. A BIG shout out also to the Noosa Outlook IGA for their support and supply of 2 pallets of water for the emergency services workers. Well done!. Everyone was very well looked after by the RRT - Rapid Relief Team. Great meals! Hopefully we can say good by to fires for a while. But be vigilant, take care not to do anything that can start a fire and most of all Be Ready - disasters can strike at any time....

13.01.2022 Heads up Tewantin! http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDQ21035.shtml

05.01.2022 Safety at heights training was held last weekend at the Cooroy SES depot, in readiness for storm season. It was great to see new members from several areas working well together! A huge thank you to our instructors Dean, Col and Ken!

05.01.2022 The Noosa Info Convey had a great day at the Pomona Markets on Saturday. We interacted with well over 90 people, had 83 people take part in the Disaster preparedness competition and at the end of the day had a winner. Unfortunately we could only have one winner, which was tough as there were so many great entries. But well done Udo Hoever of Cooran. Your prize is on the way. Even the Willys had an outing and everyone enjoyed the strawberries

04.01.2022 Congratulations to Tewantin Deputy Group Leader Phil Pane on his SES Week Award for his contribution through design, organisation and management of specialised equipment for vehicles in the Noosa SES making operations safer for members. Well Done Phil!
