This evening we will continue announcing the results of the 2020 TLA Complete Animal Competition, with our second category "Steer Under 4 Years Of Age". Like the previous category all 7 steers appear in this video in the order they have been placed, from first to seventh. ... The Complete Animal Competition was judged by an international longhorn breeder who has had extensive showing success with his own Texas Longhorns. Congratulations to all entrants in the second Animal Competition category! Lots of fantastic young steers here to watch grow in the future!

The "Cows 4 to 11 Years Of Age" category was well supported with 11 entries from all across Eastern Australia.... 24.01.2022 Texas Longhorns Australia Horn Measurement Competition 2020! Each year the TLA runs a horn measurement competition, open to all members to enter the best of their registered cattle. Ordinarily the winners of this competition are announced and presented with their awards at the annual dinner, but as we all know this is no ordinary year!... Today we will announce the results of the first of 8 categories "Cow or Heifer Under 4 Years of Age". Congratulations to all entrants for showcasing some very impressive young females!

22.01.2022 Texas Longhorns Australia Complete Animal Competition 2020! This evening we bring you the fourth category for our 2020 Complete Animal Competition and it is a BIG one! There are 21 terrific females in the 'Cow 4 To 11 Years' category. As with the previous complete animal categories, they appear in the video in the order they were placed in by our judge from 1st to 21st.... Our judge has also provided feedback for every single entry in the complete animal competition, and we think his comments will be invaluable to the dedicated texas longhorn breeders who entered this year's competition. Congratulations to all entrants in this impressive class of cattle, every single female is worth being proud of!

We get to finish on a big note and showcase a little bit of Texas Longhorn Royalty, with Former Guinness World Record Holder HBL JR, Bred by Horseshoe B Texas Longhorns featured in this final category. ... How lucky are we to have such amazing Texas Longhorn Cattle in Australia? For those who are not TLA Members, but have been enjoying the results of our horn measurement competition, you may be interested to know that every single horn measurement has been witnessed by an independent person, who have signed a declaration to state each horn measurement is accurate and correct. All TLA members are invited to enter their TLA registered cattle. Congratulations to all entrants in this category and in the previous 7 categories, your cattle are a credit to you.

Tonight we get to hang with the big boys with the sixth of our eight complete animal competition categories "Bulls Over 4 Years Of Age". Congratulations to all entrants in this final category for Bulls. These impressive bulls have already produced some excellent progeny and no doubt will continue to do so!
21.01.2022 Texas Longhorns Australia Inc 2020 Horn Measurement Competition! Tonight we are announcing the results of the second category "Steer Under 4 Years". An interesting fact, for those who do not know: Even though all these cattle are located within Australia, all measurements are recorded in inches because the Texas Longhorn is an American breed of cattle. ... The winner of this category has a hornspan of 71 5/8 Inches which is equivalent to almost 1.82 Meters and he is not yet 4 years of age. Congratulations to all entrants for another class of fantastic longhorns!

This is the final age category for bulls and is for "Bulls 4 Years & Over". Congratulations to all the entrants in this category, great to see some lovely big bulls being showcased here, as any Texas Longhorn breeder will know, these guys are notorious for wearing away their horn tips!

Our international judge was sent the photos you see in this video, (and all the other complete animal competition videos) with each photo being only identified by a letter of the alphabet, for judging to be done in a completely anonymous manner. The Complete Animal Competition judges the complete animal, including body type, conformation, coat colour and horn. ... The females in this category have been placed from 1st to 10th and appear in this video in the order of their placings. The young bulls entered this year range in age from 18 months to just over 2 years, and all have plenty of growing to do! ... Congratulations to all entrants in our final horn measurement class for cattle under 4 years of age.

08.01.2022 Texas Longhorns Australia Inc 2020 Horn Measurements Competition! Tonight we have the results of the "Cows 12 Years & Over" which is our seventh Horn Measurement category, and the final category for Cows. This category is new this year, to highlight the incredible longevity of the breed. Texas Longhorns cows have been known to produce calves into their 20s, and many of these special old girls still continue to grow their horns. Congratulations to all entrants in this new category, we look forward to seeing many more grand old ladies entering in the future!

02.01.2022 Texas Longhorns Australia Inc 2020 Horn Measurements Competition! Our fifth set of Horn Measurement Competition results showcase "Steers 4 to 11 Years Of Age". Congratulations to all entrants in a class with quite varied ages!... For those interested in longhorns who are following along with the results of our competition all the horn measurements are 'Tip To Tip' measurements, meaning they are taken in a straight line from the tip of one horn to the tip of the other.
