When we do things that are fun, we feel good about ourselves and life in general. We are better equipped to deal with stress and other challenges when we are feeling good. When we are feeling anxious or down, we tend to stop doing things that are fun to us. Make a list of activities, big or small, that bring you happiness. Then try find ways to incorporate these activities into your daily life. Tell us, what are some things that make YOU happy?!

Each morning, just after waking, give thanks for the gift of the band new day that awaits you. Reflecting on the things that you are grateful for, will move your focus from the things that you don’t have to the things that you do. Not only does this release good feels all round, but it helps to create neural pathways that over time, become more permanent. Meaning that focussing on the positive aspects of your life and seeing the best in things will become habitual for you. Gratitude is a powerful tool. What are you grateful for?

This helps with keeping boredom out of your fitness program as each day you’re working on something new, with new challenges ... Some days it’s Heavy, other days it’s just your body weight, some days it's cardio or running Do you go to the gym and have to think about what workout your going to make up? What warm up your going to do? What exercises might work? The reps and sets? All this without spending hours and hours at the gym! At TruFit We do this all for you. Our sessions are structured with warm ups, strength/cardio, skills, and stretches - no session is ever the same! 02.01.2022 You don’t have to meditate to be mindful. Mindfulness is all about focusing on the present moment. Not thinking about the past, or the future, or being ‘in your head’. Mindfulness allows us to release negative or difficult emotions. You can practice mindfulness any time, any place. Start by bringing awareness to what you are doing, even for the most mundane of tasks. For example, when you are brushing your teeth. Give your attention to the physical sensations, the sounds that you can hear, the smells or tastes that are present. Keep your focus on that experience as it happens. Your mind may wander and that is ok. Just bring it back to the present moment once more with a deep appreciation and curiosity of what you are doing. How mindful are you? Is this something that you practice daily?
