21.01.2022 Yaama everyone. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, this years NAIDOC week has been postponed until the 8th of November 2020. In recognition of the original NAIDOC dates and through connection to and communication with Bumbira Arts & Culture Program staff at TFSS have created a video depicting different ways that families can support their children to develop different skills, while also acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and recognising the import...ance of their continuing connection to land, water, community and culture. If you have decorated your own flags or have any other ideas please inbox them to our page and we can display these for you.

09.01.2022 Why is reading so important? Reading develops the mind, the mind is a muscle and needs exercising. Teaching children to read help them develop their language skills. Tell or read stories, Say or sing nursery rhymes, poems and songs. Make up actions. Let your child pretend to read a book.

02.01.2022 Using maths everyday Counting, measuring and sorting are important mathematical skills that are used in day to day life. There are many ways you can help your child find practical uses for maths each day. By counting steps, measuring ingredients for cooking or sorting things into colours, shapes and sizes, children are developing a foundational understanding of key mathematical concepts.
