Bring your foldup tables and chairs, the kids, grandies, best friends and the pooches! It will be a ripper night too with the team from Buy Nothing Victoria Park/Kengingston coming along and holding a stall for the locals. See you there!!!

18.01.2022 STATEMENT: Hi everyone! I thought I would just post a message here and clear some things up. Firstly, the TGIF remains in private ownership. Many thanks to the following people at the Town of Victoria Park, who were key architects in guiding the TGIF into what it is; they are, Anthony Vuleta, Micheal Swanepoel, Sally Casotti and Vicki Potter. The purpose of the market was to bring the local and wider community together in an era when only 3 hawkers markets existed. Furth...er, both Sally and Vicki were there with us every week when my hubby David started putting in food stalls in the laneway. Without these two brave women - the TGIF would not have risen. Thank you both. And before you ask - yes, the TGIF will be back this summer season if I can convince the good events person (Tim Cronin) to use the (now) awesomely beautiful John Macmillan Park from November onwards. All the best and thanks everyone. :) See more
