24.01.2022 Boys' sprints....

24.01.2022 Today is the last day of Term 3! Wooohooo! Each term we recognise students who have shown CARE consistently and maintained high level attendance. This is a positive proactive strategy to acknowledge the efforts of most students at our school. Students who have met the criteria across the term OR shown significant improvement in these areas have been invited to attend the Celebration Day activities, this morning. INVITED students will be involved in a rotation of fun indoo...r and outdoor activities from 9.15 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. After lunch ALL students will enjoy a movie with their classmates. There is no cost for students for the Celebration Day activities. Students are encouraged to wear their BRIGHTEST COLOURED clothes, remembering to ensure that all clothing is sun-safe and includes covered shoes and socks. Students must have a hat, water bottle and lunch for the day. CONGRATULATIONS to all our students on a fabulous term. See more

15.01.2022 This week's PBL focus is from the ACCEPTANCE element of our CARE code - I can learn from my mistakes. We take responsibility for our mistakes, make a commitment to choose differently and practise self-compassion and kindness. We are accountable for our actions. Our behaviour is under our control. We need to acknowledge when we make a mistake. When we acknowledge what happened there is no need to make up silly excuses. When we are honest and apologise we gain people’s resp...ect. Remember you are not alone, everyone makes mistakes, it’s what you learn from the mistake that’s important. Have a great week, everyone!

08.01.2022 REMEMBRANCE DAY The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month marks the moment the guns fell silent on the Western Front after the bloodshed of World War I. Over the past century, this moment has been adopted across the globe as a time to remember those who served and sacrificed in all wars and conflicts. It is 11.00 a.m. and at present all students and staff at Thabeban have paused for one minute to reflect, remember and count our blessings. Lest we forget.

02.01.2022 Welcome to October, everyone! There are just 5 days until Term 4 is here. This is a great time to check with your child/children about stationery supplies they need replenished for the final term. It is VERY important that students have their own lead pencils, rubber, ruler, glue and scissors as well as other stationery supplies used EVERY day in their classroom. A bottle green broad-brimmed hat and water bottle will also be a must for the warm weather that we'll see during Term 4.

02.01.2022 Today is Athletics Day. While the staff and students are excited, we know there are disappointed parents and carers who are wishing they could join us. In the current situation with Covid 19, that isn't possible. We will however be posting LOTS of photos and even having some 'live' crosses as the day progresses. Thank you to our amazing parent body for your support. #gochappell #golaver #gowickham #gothabeban

01.01.2022 It IS the last weekend of the holidays but at least it's a LONG weekend. Have fun. See you all on Tuesday morning ready for Term 4.
