01.06.2022 An important story has appeared in The Weekly Times about the impact of changes to Federal Government schools funding policy on independent regional schools, in...cluding ours. We are a part of a coalition of negatively impacted regional schools urging the Federal Government to rectify this unfair policy. We will keep families informed as we receive more information from the Federal Government. Repeated efforts by us and other impacted schools have so far not resulted in any policy change. We urge you to use your own networks to push for the Federal Government to address our concerns and ensure choice in non-government education across regional Australia. You can read the story here: https://tha.ac/help-impacted-regional-schools and learn more about our concerns about this policy change at www.crisa.org.au . . . . . #TheHamiltonandAlexandraCollege #HamiltonCollege #IndependentRegionalSchools #RegionalSchoolsVictoria #IndependentSchoolsVictoria #Hamilton Hamilton Spectator ABC South West VIC 981 3HA Warrnambool Standard Dan Tehan MP Emma Kealy

10.01.2022 Class of 2019 DUX Scored an ATAR of 99.6 with a perfect 50/50 study score in Mathematical Methods.... Nihindu lives in Warrnambool and boarded for Year 12. He was the Information Systems Captain and was awarded prizes in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics for achievement in academic studies. I plan on going to University in 2020 and hope to study a Bachelor of Science, which will lead to a role in physics research. My favourite subjects at College were maths and physics and all my teachers have been incredible. I joined College in Year 7 and have made great friends - I will miss them next year. . . #TheHamiltonandAlexandraCollege #AcademicExcellence #HamiltonCollege #ConnectedCommunity #VCE #ATAR #TopATAR #ConfidentFutures #Hamilton #BestRegionalSchools #BoardingVictoria #WhyNotBoarding #BoardingschoolsAustralia #BestSchoolsRegionalVictoria

05.01.2022 My grandfather, Herbert Hector Smith was just 19 years of age when he enlisted in the 1st World War. He returned home and lived to 84 years old; over this time... he taught me some valuable lessons. He instilled in me that actions speak louder than words. He demonstrated the value of teamwork and doing! He immersed himself actively within the community, whether that be playing football with the local team, being a member of the district fire brigade or a councillor with the shire. This immense sense of teamwork and community connection I can only imagine stemmed from his four years overseas at war where you were all in it together and had to rely on and support your fellow man, mate and brother every day. In reflection this ANZAC Day, I am very appreciative for the life we are all so fortunate to have here, so immensely grateful for the sacrifice that too many families made in order for my children and I to have the opportunity and freedom to live a life of our choosing, safely and in peace.
