22.01.2022 Over the lockdown period one of our coaches 'Phil Stanley' his son Oliver (who is one of our players) and his daughter Chloe have been doing something a little different with their time, and are making 'bird feeders' & 'squirrel tables' along with planters and donatiing the proceeds to charity. If you would like to purchase one of the items & help them in their fundraising please get in touch, the bird feeders & squirrel tables are 5 each & the planters are 15 each, please contact Jodi Stanley or Philip Stanley for your interest . 16.01.2022 MAY NEWSLETTER . Dear Coaches and Parents, Newsletter, 14th May 2020 From The Committee of Thackley Juniors... We hope you and your families continue to keep safe and well. Subs Payments / Club Finances The Committee would like to extend our gratitude for your continued payments of subs to date which supports keeping the club solvent during these extraordinary times. If any payments are not currently up to date, please can this be addressed or contact made with a member of The Committee to discuss a personal arrangement. As previously explained, recent payments are covering costs the club have already incurred. A decision has been reached to suspend all payments with effect from 1st June 2020. If you pay in arrears e.g. your payment is on the 1st of June but is to cover May's fees, please allow this payment to be made before amending your standing order. Please postpone payments for 3 months in the first instance. If you have paid in full and wish to request a refund for June & July's fees, please contact Brenden Barker or Lee Robinson. As a Committee, we will continue to regularly review the Club's financial position and to explore ways in which we can best manage our income and expenditure to protect the future of the club. As we currently have no indication of when the season will start again (which enables subs payments to recommence), the exact financial implications to the club and our offering in the coming years isn't fully understood. If you are able/wish to apply personal discretion and continue to support us in protecting the future of the club by maintaining payments, that would be much appreciated. The committee continue to monitor updates from the Government and FA is respect of restrictions. We will continue to communicate with you as we know more about training, presentation evening and summer tournaments etc. Bradford City Tickets Refunds will be provided to coaches to pass on to parents once it is safe for contact with multiple people to take place. 07.01.2022 APRIL NEWSLETTER Dear Coaches and Parents, We hope you and your families are well and managing to stay safe. Please find below latest update on all things relating to Thackley Juniors. Training... As lockdown continues with strict social distancing rules in place, we are unable recommence training until further notice. As previously noted, the new season would usually start in September 2020 but this may be subject to change depending on Government and FA guidance. Subs Payments / Club Finances The Committee would like to thank you for your continued payments of subs which supports keeping the club afloat during these unprecedented and difficult times. If any payments are not currently up to date, please can this be addressed or contact made with a member of The Committee to discuss a personal arrangement. As mentioned in the Newsletter dated 21/03/20, the cost of membership is 180 per year and because we have to spend so much of our budget between August and March, the monthly payments we collect between April and July are paying for costs the club has already incurred. As a Committee, we are continually reviewing the Club's financial position and modelling scenarios through which we think we can manage our income and expenditure to protect the future of the club. As it stands, we need payments to continue until the 19/20 season’s expenditure costs are fully covered. We will be in touch again in early May to provide you with an update. Presentation Evenings / Trophies We previously advised that we still plan to hold presentation evenings. This will remain under review in line with social distancing advice and the clubs financial position. Summer Tournaments Unfortunately, some clubs have already started to cancel these. A decision has not yet been made for our Thackley Summer Tournament due to held on 11th and 12th July. We will keep you informed about this. We hope by continuing to keep you informed and by explaining the financial situation that you can continue to support us in protecting the future of the club. Thackley Juniors was founded in 2003 and since then has grown in to one of the largest Junior Football Clubs in the area. 06.01.2022 During the pandemic lockdown, One of the players from the club, 'OLIVER STANLEY' from LIGHTNING 12S, took to making Wooden Planters, Bird Tables & Squirell Tables with his sister & dad. The items were then sold to raise money. ... The decision by Oliver & his family was to donate the money raised, and it was split between SCOUTS, NHS & some to the THACKLEY JUNIORS club.
