20.01.2022 ABOUT THIS RING .... 3 generations of love and devotion are represented in this latest commissioned ring design. The client gave me full artistic freedom to create the unique design and is very pleased with the result. The client supplied her grandmother's diamond engagement ring, her mother's diamond set engagement and eternity ring and the first ring her husband had gifted to her when they were first dating (Sapphire and Diamond).... The centre ring in PLATINUM 950 wraps around the old rose cut diamond and the brilliant cut diamond. The top and bottom sections of the ring are manufactured in 18ct yellow gold with channel and fishtail set diamonds and the claw set blue sapphire. I look forward to hearing the reaction to the piece when the client's mother has the opportunity to see the ring. 08.01.2022 Not as commonly known as opal mined from other localities, is the Mintabie Opal! We visited there on a couple of occasions through 1987 and 1988 when large D9 bulldozers were pushing up the ground and others were blasting with dynamite to find the beautiful stone. We learnt that the last of the leaseholders in the township, situated in the North of South Australia on traditional owners lands, was closed and residents finally evicted early 2020, so we felt it was time to search through our old opal material and polish up a few nice specimens to make some custom design jewellery items. This 'one off ' item is available now for $1575.00 and features a 1.21ct solid Mintabie Opal in 9ct yellow gold ring with a single, white gold chenier set Diamond.
