Well this weekend did not go to plan. After failing to get up to speed in time for qualifying I spent the races trying to get back to where I should be. 19.01.2022 This weekend I’m competing in the first round of the New Zealand 86 Championship at Pukekohe Park Raceway This is my first time driving these cars and they’re surprisingly different to the Australia 86 cars. I’m still getting my head around the different driving style and learning the new track. I’ve also had a few problems with the car that will be fixed tomorrow ready for quali. Total Parts Plus... 16.01.2022 Well it looks like I’m not going to be able to make it to the final round of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing New Zealand Best Bars Limited 86 Championship. Considering the T20 has been cancelled and all the kiwis rushed home before the restrictions began, I’m not liking my chances of landing in NZ and jumping in a racecar the next day.

15.01.2022 Today we took out the Kaizen Racing Ginetta Cars G50Z. A 2009 spec GT3 V8. The main purpose of the day was to shake the car down and find any potential issues, but I still managed to go faster than a McLaren Senna a totally different experience compared to the 86. Mobil 1

10.01.2022 Had some interesting races today, after qualifying 3rd I fought my way to the front in race 1, unfortunately the lap after taking the lead my left rear driveshaft randomly failed, ending my race. 05.01.2022 Round 2 of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing New Zealand 86 Championship has come to an end, and it has been a rather disappointing one for me. After battling with engine problems through Friday and Saturday we were forced the replace the engine Saturday night. I then spent the two races on Sunday battling for position, however I didn’t quite have the speed to finish where I would have liked. Now I need to focus on making up some points in Invercargill next weekend.
