25.01.2022 We are sad to see Wendy Grant move onto a different opportunity, but..... We have a POSITION VACANT. The role is Food and Beverage Manager for Thamarrurr Youth Indigenous Corporation (previously called the Thathangathay Foundation). The successful applicant will be the Food and Beverage Manager at Dumu Balcony Cafe in Bright Victoria. This is a training cafe for indigenous youth from the community of Wadeye, Northern Territory. They are participating in a leadership program a...nd typically 15 - 25 years old. The role of Food and Beverage Manager (30 HOURS per week) will include the daily running of cafe, planning and coordinating food for special functions, and maintaining safe food handling practices. It would be essential to have experience with food preparation, coffee and drinks preparation, customer service. Other beneficial experience would include adult education, training and diverse cultures. Please call in from 9 am to 2 pm Monday to Friday with a resume or call 03 5755 1489. 11.01.2022 Congratulations to Hona for completing the latest part of her Dumu Cafe training. We are excited as she heads home this week to open and run the cafe in the Wadeye Youth Centre!!! So make your way to the cafe next week for the best coffee and nibbles in town!!!!
10.01.2022 We are seeking a Bright Program Coordinator for our Indigenous education, employment and training program in Bright. The position involves the coordination of our school based participants as well as our hospitality trainees. This position involves administration, pastoral care and training duties. The position is part time (3 days per week) and is based in Bright. Salary will be in the range of $35k- $50k Basic computer skills, drivers licence and working with children all essential. Position will be part time on a 12 month contract, beginning end of January 2020. 02.01.2022 Paul Kinthari has also been a massive part of our program. He too has finished his training in Bright and heads home to take up a position as a teachers assistant at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College next week. We are very proud and excited about this opportunity he has achieved through his hard work.
