22.01.2022 plastic free Easter treats can be done! Thanks @thesourcewestendbrisbane for supplying the delicious chocolates. loaded into old olive jars, topped with some jute we had around from Christmas and chalk labels! So the jars keep on giving! Have a lovely Easter friends!

21.01.2022 we got our toilet! and greywater system! Thanks to the good people @ecoflowm we are super excited to install and start using our composting & closed loop system in our brand new hand built house hopefully soon! stay tuned for how it goes! #yay

So thanks for the interest! heres the progress! We have a floor! We have started on the roof! And thanks to my dad for kicking in whilst we were touring we are further along than we thought! #whataman Well try post more often! We have lots of tales to tell you all!

19.01.2022 weve been a little quiet on here lately weve had a couple of quiet weeks whilst we waited on some deliveries. The good news is .... its arrived! And were back at it! 15.01.2022 Workin our little butts off. We managed to find a bulk lot of ply for $400 on Gumtree just as we started to build. We finally get to use it now! #hooray

13.01.2022 it is 100% possible to shop plastic free on a budget! Heres our weekly haul which includes fruit and veg from @charliesfruitmarket - we would normally shop organic at farmers markets but the funds are tight this week and Charlies is an AWESOME alternative. Organic, free range meat packed in our own containers from @tmporganics - these guys rock! As well as organice rice and pasta. Toothy Tabs instead of toothpaste in a bottle that you simply take back to @lush_ausnz to reuse, nuts, snacks (including some sneaky lollies ) from Simply Good in Alderley and a tin of curry paste from woolies. Not an ounce of single use plastic in sight! Wed love to hear any tips or tricks for eco shopping if youve got any!?

12.01.2022 well .... the gals are happy at least Joanne, Desley & Margaret on the prowl for some juicy theyve stopped laying eggs for us .... well at least in the spot theyre supposed to lay eggs .... so tomorrow it will be a real Easter egg hunt!

12.01.2022 today many things were done ... but creating this cute little toilet roll holder was my fave made from a recycled paint can handle, 2 nails, 2 screws, a bit of wood we had lying around and toilet paper thanks to the amazing @whogivesacraptp works perfectly in our rustic little bathroom.

11.01.2022 Good Morning Desley youre a pretty fun little chicken who gives us an egg daily (mostly) ... her shells have been quite soft lately so weve started adding some shell grit to her food to make them big and strong! Seems to be working so far! #happysunday

10.01.2022 wow what a super crazy month its been! Weve been pretty off social media ... #oopsie For those following along, we decided it was time to get away from the hustle and bustle (and expense) of city life so we decided to pack up and move into a little caravan/annex on the farm whilst we prepare for our build! Weve been madly moving and renovating to make it nice and cosy to live in - hence the radio silence. Not to mention work away and other commitments. B U T we are back! And this here is a lovely deck we built out of completely recycled material (apart from the screws!) that now lives in our ... well what will be our garden! Thanks again Gumtree for the free decking wood!

04.01.2022 super excited to hang these babies in our house once we get to building our last internal walls. the good good people @stonewoodhaus gifted the panes to us when we bought our bathroom window and then my wonderful Dad made frames for them to go into our home.
