View all the stories at https://buff.ly/2twn1zY This week we profile a ghostly grey called Love Tap who set the tongues wagging with an easy win in the Gr 3 Gloaming Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday - his fourth on the trot only three months after winning his maiden at Nowra. Such was the hype surrounding the gelding that he jumped away as a $1.70 favourite. It’s unlikely he’ll be at such prohibitive odds in the Spring Champion Stakes, but he’ll start favourite nevertheless. Bred to southern hemisphere time, he was foaled in Australia and purchased by Dynamic Thoroughbreds for $110,000. Under the guidance of Richard and Michael Freedman Love Tap has come a long way in a short time. On the podcast we introduce former jockey Darryn Murphy who’s currently working in Adelaide as a racing mentor and coach for Skillinvest and Thoroughbred Racing South Australia. Darryn quit the saddle in the 1990’s after a riding career that brought him almost 900 winners. On the downside Ballarat born Murphy had more than his share of falls, the legacy of which eventually wore him down and sent him in a different career direction. He has absolutely no regrets as he gives back to the game he loves. Also on the podcast is Peter Creighton, Founder and Managing Director of Victorian based United Syndications. Racehorse syndicators are usually driven by a lifelong passion for racing. I’ve never met a more passionate one than Peter Creighton. The die was cast when Peter was taken to Caulfield races as a fourteen year old by his father and an uncle. He started out by part owning a few country horses before setting up as an accredited syndicator. United Syndications has brought around 1000 new owners into the industry since 1993. Peter talks of the nice horses to carry the attractive United colours. Australian racing lost an icon on September 22nd when Bob Ingham passed away at age 88. 22.01.2022 Exciting times out at Bowraville with the Sporting and Recreational precinct plans starting to take shape and move forward . As a club we are obviously in suppo...rt of all the exciting plans and proposals that are happening out there as they will provide our club with greater facilities that will be the envy of all other clubs in our area and a possible place to give our club a real home base with the opportunity to have club meetings in a place where we can showcase some of our clubs history with photos and memorabilia and give our club a real home . Not to mention fantasitic facilities for all locals to take advantage of , the upgrades that are proposed will really put Bowraville on the map . A big step in this process is the Rec club AGM on Sunday 11th October 10.00am , our club urges all people of Bowraville or involved with our great club to head out to Bowra Rec Club before this date to become a social member of the club cost being $10 ( if you are not already a member ) and to attend the Rec Club AGM to try and change the constitution of the club to incorporate other sporting bodies such as Bowra Junior Rugby League and not just Golf and Bowls to do this we need 75% of the vote , so our club is a genuine stakeholder in this fantastic opportunity. I really hope everyone that is available makes the effort to do this as this could be a real milestone moment for our club and something we certainly do not want to miss out on .
