I have been going to The Actors Lounge for 1 term and I really like it. I love the games we play in class like the thank you game. I am able to use my BIG imagination while having lots of fun.

22.01.2022 SPOTLIGHT ON ANNIKA! Hi, my name is Annika and I am 12 years old. I love singing, I love musicals (currently obsessed with Hamilton!) but most of all I LOVE acting! This year I started at The Actors Lounge and was welcomed straight away. I have been so happy to learn about different techniques from such talented and cool teachers and meet kids who are like me! 21.01.2022 SPOTLIGHT ON - MADDIE KING Hi, Im Maddie! I love singing, dancing and of course acting. Anything that gets me on stage or in front of a camera sign me up! Im lucky enough to have played lead characters in numerous school productions, including Pugsley Addams in The Addams Family, Betty Paris in the Crucible and William Barfeé in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. I fell in love with acting and I really wanted to pursue my passion outside of school. Since joining The Actors Lounge last year I have learnt so much about the wonderful world of acting which has helped me to continuously improve my skills as an actor. 20.01.2022 Malcolm Frawley is an accomplished writer/director/actor/tutor with over 40 years of professional experience. He has taught improvisation, screen acting, scene study, stagecraft, & devising at NIDA, Screenwise, Sydney Acting School, Excelsia College, Theatre Nepean and the Actors College of Theatre & Television as well as writing & directing stage & film productions for many of those institutions. We have been privileged to have Malcolm on board at The Actors Lounge for around 8 years writing and tutoring our advanced teens.

19.01.2022 The health and safety of our students and families is of the highest importance so, with everything thats going on, we have decided to put the well-being of our students and teachers ahead of everything else and cancel the last 2 weeks of Term 1 so no classes next week or the week after. Term 2 will commence Saturday, May 2nd. This should allow a substantial six-week buffer. We will be offering make up and / or extension classes - probably closer to the time of the end ...of year performance where we will need the extra rehearsals. I hope you understand our position, while it was tremendously hard to make, at this time it would be irresponsible of us not to take action. 19.01.2022 SPOTLIGHT ON...Elijah Williams Hi, Im Elijah. Im 15 years old and Ive been going to The Actors Lounge for almost 6 years. I love everything to do with the arts, I like singing and painting but my favourite thing to do is it to act. Ive been lucky enough to do the things I love professionally appearing in TV commercials and doing voice-overs for radio and TV. Throughout my time going to The Actors Lounge, Ive learnt many different techniques that I have been able to apply for both stage and camera acting. This is all thanks to the amazing teachers Ive had along the way who have helped me become a better actor. Ive made great like-minded friends while going to The Actors lounge who have made going to classes even crazier and more fun. Each week I learn, grow and have a great time and it is by far my favourite part of the week.

16.01.2022 SPOTLIGHT ON - PAN WALKER The Actors Lounge is a diverse group of young actors that never fails to make me excited about theatre. From the beginning of my days there, The Actors Lounge has continued to be one of my favourite acting schools. The Actors Lounge is important to me because not only does it teach acting, but it also teaches camera skills, confidence on and off the stage and creates friendships I've had for just under a decade. It also stands out for me due to the fact that instead of just learning a script, or putting on a short play, legitimate theatres and cinemas are rented out to showcase the talent of my fellow actors. That, as well as the fantastic and patient teachers, makes the Actors Lounge the coolest drama school around.

15.01.2022 SPOTLIGHT ON...APRIL Hi my name is April and I am eight years old. I started acting a couple of terms ago and I am the youngest one in my class. We play really great acting games. At first I felt scared but I soon realised that it was exciting, not scary at all. Its really thrilling when we go on camera to start acting and the scripts are really funny. After we go on camera we have our screening and I cant wait to see my scene on the big screen and be on the red carpet at the premiere!

12.01.2022 SPOTLIGHT ON ... ISABELLA Hi! Im Isabella and Im 11 years old. I started at The Actors Lounge just over a year ago now and I feel like I finally found my passion. What I love most about the classes is that it allows me to be free and let go of everything. I love getting into character and pretending to be someone else. I also love the games that we do as they help me improve my skills such as thinking in the moment, building my confidence and just going with the flow. I love my Saturday mornings as I get to spend it doing what I love. The Actors Lounge is my happy place!!

06.01.2022 SPOTLIGHT ON... ELLEN! "Hi, Im Ellen and I love to dance and talk to people, but what I love most is acting. Acting makes me feel happy and free. I love reading scripts and looking at every single word on the script. Being part of the lead cast for my community performance group was amazing. Im 10 years old, and I know what youre probably thinking, a 10-year-old is just a kid, well, Im much more. I love costumes, reading lines, everything about a movie, an Ad or even episodes. When you see me, youll know, Im much more than just a cute kid.

Giving Luka the role as the bully challenged him as it is so far from what his natural charming personality is like but he did an awesome job!
