The following spread was requested and provided for the Triumph Sports Owners Car Club, it also included the pre purchase of drinks which were ready and cold for the members on arrival. This meant they could make the most of their time here and enjoy their pre dinner get together in our penthouse without having to think about the little things.

15.01.2022 Just twenty minutes down the Great Ocean Road from Apollo Bay is the turn off for the Cape Otway Lightstation tourist attraction. Once you make the turn off as mentioned in our previous post you can stop along the way to view Koalas in their natural habitat dozing in the trees beside the road!!!! Its a beautiful drive and the way the Koalas have consumed most of the leaves on the gum trees is quite something to see! 06.01.2022 There is so much to see and do within a very short distance of The Apollo here on the Great Ocean Road that a week at The Apollo may not be enough time to see it all. Each week we will showcase one of the many things to see and do here on our facebook page.... first of all is The Cape Otway Lightstation. In our previous posts we have highlighted the opportunity to see Koalas in their natural habitat on the drive to the Lighthouse. So now to show off the Lighthouse itself. T...he Cape Otway Lightstation is the oldest operating lighthouse on mainland australia and the light itself has been in operation since 1848. It is located on the sea cliffs overlooking Bass Straight and the Southern Ocean and the turn off to the lightstation is only a twenty minute drive along the Great Ocean Road from Apollo Bay. In addition to the lighthouse itself and the koalas there are many other interesting things and sights you can explore when visiting the site. Including finding out more about the traditional home of the Gadabanud People, or seeing the radar bunker built in 1942 after a German mine sunk a United States ship off Cape Otway and much more. So why not give it a visit during your stay here in Apollo Bay!!! 01.01.2022 Recently we had the pleasure of meeting some guest requests. A guest planning to propose to his girlfriend approached us to decorate their room win rose petals and his girlfriends initial in a heart with towels in the shape of swans and organise a bouquet of red roses. Our guest collected the bouquet from reception prior to proposing and brought his new fianc back to enjoy some celebratory champagne and chocolates after a romantic day on the Great Ocean Road. Special thanks to Steph at Earth Flower florist Apollo Bay for helping us meet our guests requests, and congratulations to our guests on your engagement!!!!
