N Dark (Nero) P Pure Pigment T Tinted V Very Tinted X Extra Tinted Art Spectrum Flinders Blue Violet pastels named after the famous Flinders Ranges in South Australia, where these colours are at their most vibrant these violets permeate our Australian Southern Hemisphere landscape, skies and clouds. The browns of the Northern Hemisphere edge towards violet in the Southern light. In the Australian landscape violets are prolific. In deep shadows and light tree trunks there is a profusion of red or blue violets in subtle mixtures of white and earth colours.

16.01.2022 Repost from @cansonpaper - Pastel is a technique that really allows the light to shine through. You only have to look at these pretty dandelions by @tatiana___gladkova to see that! Do you use this technique where hand and colour are your only tools? Pastel on Canson Mi-teintes

16.01.2022 Repost from @winsorandnewtonau Winton is a high quality yet economical range of oil colours designed for artists working with large volumes of colour. Winton's classic 47 carefully selected colours and moderate price has made it very popular amongst students and amateur artists who seek good quality and moderately priced oil paints. Formula... Every colour in the Winton range is individually formulated to take advantage of the natural characteristics of each pigment and to ensure the stability of the colour. All colours will become touch dry in 2-12 days. The different drying rates are due to the different reaction of each pigment when mixed with oil.

07.01.2022 Shot in 1902, The Flying Train takes viewers on an uncommonly crisp journey aboard a suspended railcar in Wuppertal, Germany. Throughout the three-minute vide...o, riders see residents walking across pedestrian bridges and down dirt roadways more than a century ago. The city is known still today for its schwebebahn, which is a style of hanging railway thats unique to Germany. @themuseumofmodernart recently pulled the black-and-white footage from its vault and said that curators originally believed it was shot with 70-millimeter film rather than 68. Formats like Biographs 68mm and Foxs 70mm Grandeur are of particular interest to researchers visiting the Film Study Center because the large image area affords stunning visual clarity and quality, especially compared to the more standard 35mm or 16mm stock, a statement notes. This particular clip has been upscaled to 4K with the aid of neural networks, FPS boosted to 60 frames per second, stabilized, and colorized by @shir.man from Neural Love.
