18.01.2022 From Tuesday May 19th, The Asylum Seekers Centre will be open from 10 a.m. till 12 Noon. Registered asylum seekers can collect food once a week on any of these days. The free "Op Shop" will also re-open at these times.

15.01.2022 We are still hard at it at the Centre, operating with a skeleton staff, and opening from 8 a.m. to Noon on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We now have a record 651 "on the books", having registered a family of 6 and an individual last week Speaking engagements have "dried up", as have donations of food from Churches. 08.01.2022 In case you were wondering!! The Asylum Seekers Center has AVERAGED 86 families during 2020 - We saw 101 families today!! Thankfully, donations have increased during the lockdown, and we are able to purchase additional food to cover the shortfall from Churches which are closed for the time being.
