11.01.2022 Well here we are after months of restrictions the booths and tables are out On the 29/3/2020 cafes were told to take away only .... then we could sit 10 people. Today the 1st June we can safely open our doors, we are blessed with a large area and can obey to social distancing rules and safely seat 50 people. We would like to thank our customers with their support and patience as we continued to stick to the rules our government imposed to keep us all safe during Covid 19 pa...ndemic. Covid 19 has been a period of time that has been hard to navigate. We thank our staff and customers for your continued support!! 11.01.2022 The Austral Cafe will be closed this Sunday for Fathers Day. COVID 19 regulations have limited our capacity to just 25 (from 100!). We have been able to manage this from day to day but turning away families/anyone on Fathers Day is not something we want to do. For the first time in 17 years our self and our staff we will be celebrating Fathers Day with our families enjoying this beautiful weather we are having.

11.01.2022 On Thursday night we were notified that we were nominated for best pie award in the tweed by the Daily News! This award is thanks to our loyal dedicated baker. He has been part of the Austral long before we brought it 16 years ago! Thanks for your hard work David Dixon thanks for everyone who voted . You guys keep eating them and we will keep baking them
