23.01.2022 It always puts a smile on my face and that of my committee members when every year we work on maintaining the quality and condition of our Perpetual Trophies before our Christmas Party and Club Trophy Presentation Day. Our great club has a large number of Perpetual Trophies spanning a history of 61 years. We ensure the history and legacy of our previous outstanding club members, fanciers, supporters, sponsors and volunteers live on through our trophies where their names stand... proudly in perpetuity. Your contributions are never forgotten and live on in strong reflection each year especially when presented to the new winner. Everyone always looks at the names on the trophies to remember their journey and previous winners, some I saw today many will remember B & N Hackney, L Tucker, H Heath, T Smith, W H George, B Bool and J Burke to name a few. 17.01.2022 What an amazing evening our November Mini Christmas Party club general meeting was on Thursday night, our last club meeting for 2018. Our Guest Presenter Mr. Alan Kent was excellent and caught our members attention throughout the evening and he enjoyed the quality of budgies benched for our table show. Thank You Alan, your support is greatly appreciated by all and we hope you enjoy the bottle of Red. WOW our meeting had it all, Carols, Fun, all the Christmas nibbles, Food, Fo...od and more Food, our Christmas Tree lights and club house decorated, it looked a treat. Our Club Supporter Dr. Ron Woodhead walked into the meeting with everyone singing Carols loudly, he smiled and thought it was great. Thank You Glennis and Barb. Thank You to all our committee members that decorated the club house last Sunday and finished the work early on Thursday afternoon. If this is any early indication our Christmas Party this year will be absolutely awesome. The raffle was a half Leg of Ham and large piece of Rolled Pork won by Glennis Henderson. Thank You Everyone for your support during 2018 and I look forward to your continued success in 2019, l look forward to seeing you all at our Christmas Party. 01.01.2022 For the 5th consecutive year our great club The Australian Budgerigar Society was nominated as Eagleby Community Organisation of the Year at The Eagleby Achiever Awards 2018, "CONGRATULATIONS" ABS. But it's our amazing members that make our great club so Strong and Friendly today through there dedication and unwavering support. The following members were nominees last night. McKenzie Garside - Young Person of the Year. Gwen Robinson and Bob Henderson - Senior of the Year Barb... Beer - Volunteer of the Year CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE, WELL DONE. WELL DESERVED NOMINEES. Our Vice Patron Cr Mrs. Jennie Breene always attends this Special Eagleby Event and presents major awards, it was great to see you and catch up at the Awards Jennie.
