Hand dyed by Kathryn This yarn is squishy, soft and very hard wearing - perfect for socks. It's a delight to work with and very skin friendly. Each sock set comes with a 100g (380m) variegated colourway skein for the foot and leg of the sock and a 20g (95m) solid colour mini skein for the heels and toes. These skeins are hand dyed, the distribution of the dye will be unique to each skein. Hand washing in cold water and drying flat in shade is strongly recommended. Thank you to the organisers of The Big Wool Show - you have all done an incredible job ... To show my appreciation I'm making The Lacy Bias Scarf pattern FREE for the rest of the day :) This pretty scarf is knitted on the bias. It starts with 4 stitches, increases to the desired width, knits straight to the desired length and then decreases to 4 stitches. It will look lovely in any yarn but is very suitable for self-striping yarn or a yarn advent calendar. 08.01.2022 A final post for the day :) I hope you had a fun first day at The Big Wool Show If you are in the mood to knit a large, squishy shawl then Bella might be for you.... Bella is a luxuriously large, 3 skein shawl that is perfect for effortless elegance on those cold wintery days. This gorgeous shawl is an asymmetrical triangle knitted in garter stitch with i-cord edges and an i-cord cast off. Bella is a very simple pattern with a lovely rhythm so grab a coffee, turn on Netflix and put your feet up... it's time to knit. This shawl starts with a tiny cast on and increases by one stitch every two rows. It has i-cord edges and an i-cord cast off. I've used three skeins to create Bella but the pattern will work just as well with two skeins (it will be shorter) or a bunch of mini skeins. Alexanda is a delicate lace shawl that uses only one skein of hand dyed 4ply yarn.... It starts at the lace edge meaning all the hard work is done at the very beginning. A perfect pattern if you are new to lace but not recommended for the brand new knitter.
