24.01.2022 Beeswax Wraps the ideal alternative to cling wrap. Made by me(Heather) from Kangaroo Island Ligurian Beeswax, Australian Jojoba oil and ethically sourced Pine Rosin. Will last at least 12 months if washed in Luke warm soapy water, in fact I am still using wraps I made 14 months ago and still work well.... Materials You'll Need:... 2 wooden dowels, 90cm Bamboo Garden Stakes will also work Plastic sheeting, recycled garbage bags, Newspaper or even strong wrapping paper Strong tape, such as packing tape or masking tape. to attach the paper or plastic body of the kite to the frame. Twine to tie the dowels securely together String to attach the kite to. 04.01.2022 Weeks 8-9 Crafting for kids Sorry folks I totally missed last week. I knew what I planned on posting but totally missed it. Continuing with Paper Mache this week the basics to get started are in Week 7's post... Once you have the hang of it there is just so much that you can make using Paper Mache Bowls can be made by only covering half of the balloon building up the layers until nice and sturdy. For the house use a box as your base and tissue paper for your final layer will give a stained glass affect Hot Air Balloons can be made using a balloon for your base. For a different look make your final layer fabric pieces. Some string and a small box for the basket will complete the balloon Eggs can be made also using a balloon as your base and then when finished can be turned into a shadow box or diorama.
