04.01.2022 GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! Yes it is a tad cold up here in the old Omeo town but the sun is shining through and it feels like about 5 degrees. But we also love it ...it gives you a feeling of life. I Guess 2020 has started out being a fantastic year for us Lou, Sandi & Pirra We started with the bushfires, all roads closed and no visitors, then they opened and we were looking forward as many fo you were to a fantastic Easter in Omeo. We all know what happened to that, don't we no unnecessary travel, well that is fine and that has lasted way too long. We are getting through that and the sad sacks , we have Christmas 2020 and Easter 2021 to look forward to and we will pull ourselves out of the pit we have ended in, with the help of all our guests and regular visitors. We have gotten so much support, love, prayers, and well wishes from all our beautiful visitors, Past, Present & regulars that come to visit over the year. Yes we will survive say Lou & Sandi. So this is not something that I do lightly, or often and as many of you would know, Lou is always the facebooker in this family both on my facebook, and the caravan park facebook. My dear darling partner in crime. Well Friday 26th June was our anniversary of moving to Omeo, yes the 26 June 2008, 12 years. To start our new lifestyle in the Omeo Caravan Park, officially took over on he 1st July, 2008. We are now to start our 13th year (bad luck for some) Well since then all we have had is good, good friends, good business and a good life, until the morning of the 27th June, 2020 Well we have had 24 hours or more to feel all the emotions that come with your livelihood, love of life, your heart, all positive feelings ripped through your anal passage and shoved down your throat for a second tasting, leaving a very nasty taste in your mouth. So you ask what has happened to warrant a rant like this, well reading emails on a lovely brisk Saturday morning, there was a lovely heartfelt letter from the East Gippsland Shire. No sorry it was not to offer help or see how we are going in all the trauma, because they the employees of the E G Shire are all working from home and cannot make a phone call and then the liaison officer that we are supposed to speak to has been on stress leave, and now resigned from the Shire, so no calls at all to answer our questions and queries. No we do not qualify for bushfire recovery, as we were not impacted, and no we do not qualify for COVID-19 anything either. Yes so people we have essentially until 31 march, 2021 (9Months) to remove all improvements, that we have made to the park and surrounds, and ourselves from the lifestyle we have enjoyed for the last 12 years. Gutwrenching to all three of us. So I am not sorry for what I have said or for sharing this with all of you, Yes we needed a little time to swallow this pill but we will find something new and exciting and PULL ON THOSE BIG GIRL PANTS and get on with life. We will also be talking to the council, to see who, what and where, and looking into other avenues. And after the fires, cover, and then this we have noway of recovering from this years losses. And the East Gippsland Shire thought me mentally unstable after doubling our rent, starting to charge rates(that have not been charged forever) on crown land, cannot tell us what parcels of land they are charging us for, putting a free campsite in the town (our Landlords) to help small business in the town, (not sure where we fit in) no upgrades to the park, just rising costs, and more rules and regulations. Well I hate to see what they will call me now!!! Thank you to everyone, and anyone that would like to visit the Omeo Caravan Park with a smiling friendly Sandi, Lou and Pirra may have to come before March 2021 See more

03.01.2022 Morning this my most loyal customer
