24.01.2022 Tonight, the PM has announced ALL restaurants and cafes to be restricted to "takeaway service" only, in effect as of tomorrow. Is an "isolation menu" required for our customers living in CBD/Northbridge area? Please give us your feedback.

24.01.2022 New Zealand King Salmon is considered one of the best kinds of salmon of the world and we will be specially filleting one whole King Salmon for Mother's Day and serving in 2 ways. 1) Teriyaki Confit Salmon Fillet with cauliflower puree and crackling bits. 2) Mini salmon sashimi bowl glazed with special soy and a side of wasabi cream for you to further drench your bowl with.

It has hurt us in big ways. We ask for the support of our valued customers to share our content, especially the PREVIOUS post, show-casing our popular 10 course set menu to perhaps put us back on our feet so that we may continue serving you for years to come.

14.01.2022 Annual closure Festive Season 2019 Ticked!! Fringe Festival Ticked!! Chinese New Year Ticked!! Valentines Ticked!!! Like every year, The Bonsai Restaurant will be closed for our annual rest period starting March 2nd to the 17th. Doors re-opening for service on the 18th of March (Wednesday). We thank everyone for this years patronage and will start 2020 service with a renewed vigor.... Bookings are still accepted through our website through our online booking system and large function bookings are to be emailed as inquiries to be processed within 5 days by the manager. We apologize for the inconvenience for some who had plans to visit us during this period and hope to see you after our return.

09.01.2022 Today will be the last day we maintain the special price of the isolation menu (THE STEAK!!!) before a slight increase to facilitate the return of some of our staff. Our days of trade will be 6 days from Tuesday to Sunday (11.30AM to 7PM) as Isaac now sports dreadlocks from working 7 days without rest. Call to make your orders for pick up, otherwise we are also with UberEats. Stay safe everyone and we will see you soon (without dreadlocks).

09.01.2022 Another year rolls by, Bonsai Restaurant has stayed open and cleared through another cycle of Christmas/New Year season along with Fringe Festival without rest. We are pooped and just like every year, we allow ourselves to be a lazy egg, "Gudetama". From March 11 to 26th The Bonsai Restaurant will be closed for our annual rest period, reopening as per normal on March 27th. For reservations during our absence, feel free to make use of our online booking engine, fill out t...he necessary information for the booking to be instantly logged with a confirmation email sent. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to our patrons but will see you afterwards refreshed and ready for another year with you.

08.01.2022 Gay pride event this Saturday. Are you as excited as this cute little lychee? Road closures all over Northbridge from 6-10PM with the event starting at 8PM. Public transport is a MUST!!! We open for dinner at 6PM, ready to feed the fishnets and unicorns.

We are hustling, but fresh produce availability has been difficult with freight restrictions so a dish or two of the favourites will have to be put on hiatus; *healthy clear of throat*beefAsparagus*healthy exhale of air* (because coughing causes rioting nowadays).

Isolation tip - For a small window peace of mind, proceed to throw crispy bits into a room and close door when children run in after it. Locking the door is optional.
