We are still to clarify if this will change in the wake of further restrictions.. but for now we hope to see you soon!

15.01.2022 Bow Wow Friends.. currently we have some beautiful doggy artwork adorning our store walls. Melbourne artist @michellephongartist has rediscovered a childhood art form of potato printing using grown up knife skills. These dog faces are hand carved out of potatoes and then hand printed onto paper. Some faces are made up of different layers of potato carvings. Each print is unique and original. The artwork is for sale but feel free to simply admire the pieces when you are next visiting!

13.01.2022 Harnesses are a great alternative to collars for walking, training and off leash exercise/play. PETA recommend using harnesses to avoid putting pressure on the trachea, spinal cord, vertebral disks and oesophagus. Harnesses not only alleviate these issues but also make it easier to pull dogs out of harms way and have more control in potentially dangerous situations such as near roadways, around other animals and in certain environments. In saying that, it is imperative that ...the harness fits well, is comfortable and is of good quality. There are some great harnesses on the market however we highly recommend Ruffwear and proudly stock them here @thebowwowstore. Facial coverings during lockdown COULD make some dogs feel confused and concerned as they can’t read human facial expressions or cues. 07.01.2022 Even during the Christmas/New Year period we still need to take care of our puppers so The Bow Wow Store will remain open for usual trading with the exception of Xmas Day! We are also OPENING FOR THE BOXING DAY HOLIDAY ON MONDAY 28th DECEMBER. Although we will be open please take into consideration that many of our suppliers will be closed and therefore some stocks may be limited into the first week of January. They are well made with 3 layers, a filter pocket and nose wire which moulds to the shape of your face. 03.01.2022 With us all being homebound and spending more time with our pups (which definitely has its benefits!!) many dogs are and will inevitably suffer the effects of separation anxiety. Common behaviours exhibited include pacing, barking, whining, destructive behaviours, drooling, escaping and inappropriate toileting. Please act NOW to help your puppers. The Bow Wow Store stocks rabbit, duck, turkey, chicken, venison, goat, beef, quail and kangaroo meat. We also have a range of edible bones including organic chicken frames, kangaroo tail pieces, duck frames, duck necks, turkey necks, duck feet and emu neck pieces. Our kangaroo offal mix is very popular and other options include lamb liver and kidneys, duck liver or freeze dried offal. We... even stock a veggie mix to make your life a little easier! 02.01.2022 Thank you @bentonsroadvet for your wonderful care of Daisy (who is a regular visitor) today. After concerns that she had internal complications with her spleen and/or liver she was swiftly referred for an ultrasound and bloodwork at Peninsula Vet Emergency & Referral Hospital. Thank goodness there were no obvious abnormalities. Daisy is being monitored with some rest and a follow up appointment early next week. Cuddle your puppers everyone.. life is so precious
