02.01.2022 IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ - The Banks in conjunction with the Government have put together an assistance package for all mortgage holders during the current COVID-19 emergency. It seems that every day brings new challenges to our lives and for some this also includes interruption to income and employment. During this time I will be working closely with my clients and the Banks to ensure that all mortgage holders get through this difficult time. With this in mind I would just li...ke to provide advice of a few keys strategies that are available to you if the need arises. - If you are having difficulties making your monthly payments on your mortgage please contact your lender directly BEFORE you miss a payment. DO NOT RELY ON CREDIT CARDS AS YOUR FIRST OPTION as over time these debts may cause you more difficulty. - HARDSHIP DOES NOT CONSTITUTE ARREARS. This is a very important point as arrears may affect your credit rating with potential longer term implications. Lenders assessing hardship applications will NOT REPORT DELINQUENCY TO YOUR CREDIT FILE. Hence my advice to contact your lender BEFORE you miss a payment. If you miss a payment without contacting your lender then this may not covered under hardship and this may affect your credit file. - If you have available redraw on your loan you may be able to use these advance payments to assist in making the current repayments. Speak to your lender. Given the banks are experiencing high call volumes many lenders have made the application process for hardship available on their internet banking platforms. Several banks also have application forms available on their websites. You may find this is a more efficient way to access these services. The ABC provided a relevant article this morning that may be off assistance to some people - see article below. Our services remain open and I am ready to assist with all your queries. All interviews can be completed via telephone, ZOOM, Google Hangouts or Skype I can also assist setting this up for you in need. Please take care of yourselves and your families and please feel free to email me direct at [email protected] Ph: 0403293584 https://mobile.abc.net.au//are-banks-freezing-mo/12090642
