08.01.2022 Wota hemi laef. If you know me, you understand that I cannot go for very long at all not being in the ocean without having a physical reaction . I was born near the ocean, spent my first years looking at the ocean and lived near the ocean most of my life. The times I have had to live away from the sea, I have felt directionless and had to work hard to gain my bearings. Water is my home Element. But Water is not just Saltwater. Rivers, waterfalls, streams, lakes, creeks,... billabongs, wells, ponds and pools, as well as rain, humidity and snow are the Water Element, the East in my Wiccan tradition. Undines, Mermaids, Water Sprites, Nereids, Sirens, Sea Nymphs, Nixe and Morgens are all names for the Guardian Nature Spirits of Water. Something to look out for at this beautiful time of Beltaine and the thinning of the veil when we are more easily able to see and commune with the Fae and Nature Spirits. Undines are the energies of the Water. Undines are present in every drop of water. They protect our water. They have beautiful voices, which are sometimes heard over the sound of water. These spirits increase the ability to feel and have access to love - water is the supreme medium to transmit and amplify. They are often beings of refined sensuality, connected to dreams with the lucid appearance of nature - seduction, erotic joy and concealment. The word Undine comes from the Latin Unda which means wave. As they are the Guardians of Water, Undines are governed by the Moon, and in my Tarot are connected to the suit of Chalices. They may be traced back to Ancient Greece and beyond, wherein mythology names a clan of nymphs called Oceanides who claimed the waters of the world as their home. These beings were the daughters of Titan and his wife Tethys. Their presence in the oceans was legendary among seafarers. Mostly benign, Oceanides would aid water travellers in navigation, but as with any spirit, they have a force temper when crossed, and there are some varieties that it is best to avoid (Jenny Greenteeth, for one). Sending lots of love, my darlings, Tori, The Burrow Witch

05.01.2022 Oh, my darlings! This Witch has been studying the heavens this afternoon and I am spellbound by the astrological magick that we are expecting in the coming days. On Sunday,15th November 4:07pm we have a New Moon in Scorpio. An excellent time for new beginnings and bringing about your wishes and dreams. Even more so than most New Moon cycles. I have good news in that Mars, who’s been retrograde since September 9th in Aries, turns direct at last tomorrow, giving us the push... to move situations forward without hesitation. We have New Moon sextile Juliter, bringing confidence and optimism, New Moon sextile Pluto, bringing focus and motivation. We also have Fixed star Agena, which is related to Venus and Jupiter, lending us friendships, appreciation of beauty, health and integrity. I must warn you though, that we do have a little blight in the form of Fixed star Unukalhai, of Saturn and Mars, which promotes immorality, slyness and manipulation. Just be on guard for any deceit. There may be those that will use their position to manoeuvre themselves regardless of the hurt caused to others. Agena should overrule Unukalhai, though, as it more closely aligns with New Moon aspects. We are presented with an ideal astrological time for bringing harmony and peace into our lives at this time of lushness of the season and Earth around us. This is the perfect opportunity to embrace our inner Scorpio. We all have Scorpio somewhere in our chart, even if we were not born under this sign. Lean into your sense of passion, adventure and mystery. Now’s the time to discover and act on what our desires really are, in true Scorpio style. If your wishes and dreams are not of your usual manner, it doesn’t matter! Scorpio is the time for manifesting. The zodiac sign of Scorpio is ruled in Tarot by the Death card, but don’t think of physical death, think more of regenerative powers and positive transformation! Ruled by Pluto, lord of the Underworld, this sign is a detective, known for digging deep to reveal what’s below the surface. It looks as though #XIII has a skeleton on a horse and a dead man on the ground, but it’s really not as bad as it looks. Symbolising release and rebirth, the Death card is about transformation and reminds us that you must be willing to let go of the past in order to embrace new opportunities. Bewitchment: Place a Gardenia or Chrysanthemum in a cup or vase of water with 9 grains of sea salt added. Whisper your New Moon intentions to the flower. A Happy New Moon, my loves. 04.01.2022 My darlings, this Sunday 1st November at 1:49am, especially for the Witches Sabbat of Beltaine and Walpurgisnacht we have a magickal Blue Full Moon in Taurus. We have a Blue Moon approximately every two and a half years. An extra Full Moon in the calendar year, which means that there are thirteen Full Moons instead of twelve. It was originally called blue because of folklore started by Cardinal Wolsey, who was Henry VIII’s advisor. This Full Moon Taurus is almost exactly c...onjunct Uranus, which could be disruptive for a couple of weeks, and Mercury Retrograde square Saturn may present challenging influences as well. There is also fixed star Hamal from the constellation of Aries which is of the nature of Mars and Saturn, bringing about a lot of passion and fiery emotion. People will double down on ill-thought out plans with little regard to the feelings of others’ You may feel unsettled and restless. If you are not listened to when trying to convey your feelings, leave it for a little while and return to the matter later. Fortunately, Taurus herself will help us release some of the emotion that the enchanted light of this Blue Moon illuminates. Taurus is a feminine fixed Earth sign, ruled by Venus. Under a Taurus Full Moon we can feel the benefits of slowing down and letting roots grow deeper under her sensual creativity. This is a perfect time to immerse ourselves in Earth’s magick, and the Fae and the spirits around us now. Connecting with the Earth under this Full Moon can help us to ground and find a stability that you have inside. I will be calling on Hecate, Queen of Witches myself to guide me through this incredibly powerful time of planets and Moon magick, connect with the spirits and tread the path surely and bravely. Bewitchment: Add Lavender to Sea Salt and pop into a little pouch. Place under your pillow and carry for protection during this time. Lots of love, Tori, The Burrow Witch xxxooo

04.01.2022 These little creatures in my cauldron are actually a Witch’s recipe, Fried Beltaine Honeycakes, so old that the origins are now lost in the mists of time. I make them every Beltaine. They were thought to be offering to the Faeries, who are all around and so close to us right now. The Witches of old wanted to appease the others, some of whom can be dangerous to humans, and so left out these delicate little delights of shapes that can resemble little Fae creatures, in the hopes of milk not turning sour, possessions not being stolen and even worse. The Faeries sometimes leave little gifts if they’re pleased, and my dear Witch sisters seem to enjoy them, too. Lots of love, darlings, Tori, The Burrow Witch xxxooo
