24.01.2022 The Cactus and Succulent Society of WA meets again this coming Sunday. 13 September. 1:30 for a 2:15 meeting. RSL Hall Leake Street, Ascot. The presentation will be a talk given at the 2017 CSSA (US) International Convention by the renowned Gideon Smith - "Aloes and Their Relatives", with many insights regarding these wonderful plants and their environment. The usual Bench Competition, plant and pot and potting medium sales (members only), raffle, afternoon tea, and a great... opportunity to catch up and talk plants. Hope to see you there. ... photo below is of Aloe brevifolia, aka Aloe mitriformis var. brevifolia, Aloe perfoliata var brevifolia, listed as 'vulnerable' in its native Western Cape in South Africa, but common in our gardens. A prolific flowerer that will spread by suckering to form an impressive clump.
