Just a shout out to all our staff that covered and stepped up for myself and Fiona as we took some much needed time off for the 1st time from The Cannery, both together and with our little family the last 2 weekends were enjoyed by us all , we managed to show our children some amazing Tassie highlights and shared some special time with them pre the summer season now upon us (that swim at wineglass bay was a killer of a hike lol ) If you ventured to The Cannery ...or The Catch over this time we thankyou and appreciate the continued support for our little gem but we are now back to usual as of tomorrow Stayed tuned for a new menu and new longer trading hours and days starting from the 14th December , yes we are going 7 days Fiona my gorgeous fiance its been an amazing year full of many ups and downs and still im so very proud of you at what you have created at The Cannery thus far its such a great story of business love and determination... But seriously how good is it when you can serve a customer some of our local Blue Lagoon Oysters matched with a local crayfish straight off our jetty ... 01.01.2022 Taking the opportunity to thank everyone that has visited us over the last few weeks and WOW the support for The Cannery has been so appreciated Thank you all for supporting our little gem through these current unusual times. As your probably aware we have attempted multiple sitting times of late for our lunch sittings. This has put unusual strain on us as im sure it has on any restaurant etc in this industry , we dont like the extended wait times this has caused obviously re... this situations of covid restrictions therefore we have decided to eliminate these sitting times and now just taking bookings or walk ins as normal but this will also mean less capacity throughout the day so booking would be appreciated , our style, location,service and food is known for a more relaxed atmosphere so we are back to providing this as such starting this weekend Please still pop in but if current restrictions mean we cant accomodate you at the time we appologise and will hope all goes back to normal for us all asap. On a more exciting note , the planned renovations we had for our new larger kitchen are all go now , this will assist in creating menu items we have been hanging out to include plus create a more efficient kitchen area to accomodate more patrons and faster service ...
