25.01.2022 To write off, or not to write off? That is the question... The ATO has increased the instant asset write off to $150k until 30 June 2020. This means you can write off large purchases like car's, computer and equipment within this financial year. By write off we mean you are able to expense the asset at the time of purchase. This is opposed to putting the asset on your balance sheet and having it depreciate over time. ... Taking advantage of the 150k asset write off can be useful for business's looking to reduce their taxable profit. Lower taxable income means less tax to pay. With 4 weeks left of this financial year now is the time to evaluate the need for new assets in your business and your expected profit for the year. But remember don't just spend money for the sake of it. Have a chat with your tax accountant if you are unsure if you should take advantage of the instant asset write off. https://www.ato.gov.au//Simpler-d/Instant-asset-write-off/

07.01.2022 How valuable is your time? Are there tasks in your business you could be outsourcing and freeing up your time? When looking into outsourcing it's important to consider the cost vs the value of your time. If you can make more money doing something else then it's a no brainer to free up your time by outsourcing. You can instead spend your time else where, whether it's work related or family time. ... Why struggle on a task you don't love or find difficult when you could have a professional look after it for you. Don't Burn Out, Outsource Instead.
