25.01.2022 As fires sweep through California again, I wanted to share an example of a brand taking action. Subaru has launched their Reforest project, a partnership with the National Forest Foundation to help restore lost forests by replanting 500,000 trees over the next four years. The project is part of Subaru Loves the Earth initiative, which delivers on The Subaru Love Promise - their vision to show love and respect to all people at every interaction with Subaru.... Together with our retailers, we are dedicated to making the world a better place. Check out the video below. I’d love to know how it makes you feel. Or potentially how would it make you feel if they were doing something like this here in Australia? When you see a campaign like this either standalone or in addition to traditional advertising does it give you an emotional connection to the brand?
21.01.2022 Almost 3 years ago the final manuscript of my book, Path To Purpose, went to the printer. It wasn’t until I started writing that I realised how much I needed to write it. I was like someone possessed, writing daily early morning, evenings, weekends. But it wasn’t the idea of writing a book that drove me. It was my purpose To make meaningful Purpose a vital part of doing business, so we can realise a future where business is a force for good and brands drive profit through ...purpose. That’s what drove me. Before that I’d spent years trying to educate the market on this movement, presentation by presentation! Through my book, I wanted to share my message more widely. Today most people I speak to love the idea of embedding purpose into their business but haven’t done so because of a misguided idea that it’s a nice-to-have in business. Yet it’s a vital strategy, now more-so than ever in times of crisis. The other reason some don’t get started is fear of getting it wrong. This I can help with. 04.01.2022 Do you know what the STEM Gap is? If your gender is not male, your chance of a STEM job is 24%. Olay in the USA is investing $1 million to fund scholarships and internships to close the STEM Gap.... What I love though is how they’re boldly advocating for women in science and technology, as part of their brand commitment to close the gender gap in the next 10 years.
