25.01.2022 Arts Activities funding is available to ACT-based artists at all stages of their careers and to organisations providing the Canberra community with opportunities to engage in the arts. It supports artists, groups and arts organisations to undertake a broad range of activities including artform-based projects, mentorships, residencies, professional or skills development and opportunities for the community to actively engage in the arts.

24.01.2022 Ausdance National responds to the Government's $250m arts funding package.

24.01.2022 Here are the newly-released guidelines for the Federal Government's Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund, part of the $250m packaged announced in July. "The RISE Fund is a $75 million grant opportunity available in 202021 to support the arts and entertainment sector to reactivate. This Fund targets sector organisations who are seeking to restart, re-imagine or create new activities. The program is intended to assist by providing finance for the presentation o...f new or re-shaped cultural and creative activities and events. "RISE will support the employment of artists and workers in the arts and entertainment sector, as well as in connected industries such as hospitality, accommodation, transport and freight. This will all contribute to rebuilding Australia's economy, as well as enhancing community wellbeing and access to cultural experiences across Australia, including in outer metropolitan, regional and remote areas. "The RISE guidelines include eligibility criteria and information about the application and funding process. The Fund will be open for applications on 31 August 2020 and will remain open until all funds are allocated or until 31 May 2021, whichever is sooner. 21.01.2022 Here's an update from Creative Australia, including its dollar-for-dollar matched funding program, designed to boost the fundraising efforts of small to medium not-for-profit arts organisations. Depending on the size of your organisation, you could be eligible for up to $25,000 or up to $50,000 in matched funding!

18.01.2022 Australia's cultural and creative industries and institutions will be the focus of a new Parliamentary inquiry. The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Communications and the Arts will hear evidence on the benefits the arts bring to Australia, and the significant impacts that COVID-19 has had on this important industry. Submissions close on 22 October 2020.

13.01.2022 CALL OUT TO THE ACT ARTS COMMUNITY Pre-election Arts Forum The Childers Group, in conjunction with the Canberra Artists Action Group, is organising an online Arts Forum prior to the ACT Legislative Assembly election.... The forum will be held on Wednesday September 9, from 12.30 to 1.30pm by Zoom. Please register (free) and send questions in advance to the Childers Group by Friday 4 September. In registering please use 'Registration for election forum' in the subject line, and leave your name, art form and email address. Members of the Childers Group and CAAG will select three that seem most pertinent and invite the politicians to respond. A Zoom link will also be sent to registered participants. The Minister for the Arts, Mr Gordon Ramsay MLA, Ms Vicki Dunne MLA, and the Greens’ Ms Jo Clay have all agreed to speak. After responses, there will be a short time for questions from the floor.
