22.01.2022 Another interesting combustion stove.. I hadn't come across a Beafeater unit before (striking colour, kinda like it!). I expected to be doing a simple flue clean, at my current promo price of $90, only to find the internal flue in this unit was (by investigation), it seems to never have been installed well. Either that or the last person to clean it had forced the flue down and it slipped into the actual fire place and was resting on the baffle plate leaving barely and gap fo...r smoke to escape. No wonder it was smoking or their lounge room! So working with Mike, the owner we made up a couple of brackets as a replacement for the very unpronounced flue flange in order to stop the flue at the top of the fireplace creating a proper chimney opening. More work than I expected, and though I might be replace some pieces of this flue system, I worked within Mike and Bess' requested parameters and just charged them for the flue clean price; $90. Probably to generous to be sustainable for my business long term but while I'm building up my knowledge and encouraging clients with this price, get me while I'm hot, because I'll be bumping back up to full market price again soon. Summer and Autumn are the times to get these things done so you're ready for Winter warmth. See more

07.01.2022 With this mid/late winter promotion I've decided to throw in this flue/chimney cowl as a special offer to the very next flue clean customer that NEEDS a replacement cowl for no additional cost (valued at $175) including free fitting. To the following 5 flue cleans that don't necessarily need a replacement cowl; they will win a further $10 discount on their clean and inspection. *following repairs or service at regular (free quoted) prices. *Respond to us by following and messaging us on Instagram or Facebook to win the Cowl or Discount.

05.01.2022 This was a sweeping job I did on the Esplanade, North Mornington. It was for a traditional open fireplace and chimney. I've had feed back since from Judy that it's burning well and flowing nicely and there's no more smoke in the lounge room. Despite that, these pictures here represent the kind of attention to detail I will go to: If I see something not right, though it's not in my original quote, I'll still give a full report on things e.g. The cowl on the 'in-use' chimney h...as a minor crack in it; something to keep an eye on, then these other photos are of the chimneys not in use yet I discovered some pretty concerning damage to them and also a few lose nails/screws here and there on their roof... I know it might seem obvious but I can't tell you how many jobs I've come across where you can tell that the singular quoted works have been done but other things have been overlooked, often to the detriment of these peoples homes to later cost them a fortune in repairs. My ethos: do many small good deeds, and consistent deeds with good intention and you will always be appreciated and consequently have work. @ Mornington, Victoria, Australia See more

04.01.2022 Another job done to the enth degree. Out back of Langwarrin at Jenny and Scott's place. They've been 11 plus years without this fireplace because of a stuck, rusted damper. So, up I went mountain climbing style (Hard to get to? That's a fact! #serenity ). Had to cut back a chunk of the old loose mortar and then build it up again before setting this Rotary-AntiBird Cowl and Damper system atop and Mortar it in solidly. It took a whole 5kg bag to do so but I'm very confident in the results. I like to go for 99% Guaranteed Results. I'll old school like that. Anyway, Dropped the damper chain down into the chimney to find out fell short by 2mts so extended that and vacuumed out the bottom of the chimney and she's all brand new again, ready to be fired up for next season!! Or even in this cool Victorian Spring.

04.01.2022 Hi folks. I'm currently on a hiatus from the chimney business. Will be back though, next season.Hi folks. I'm currently on a hiatus from the chimney business. Will be back though, next season.

03.01.2022 Wow, I didn't get a pic of it unfortunately but you should've seen how much soot and mortar sand came out of this chimney from the 40s. I don't think it's ever been cleaned. Before Matt (owner) and I got stuck into resurrecting this chimney it was running a gas heater that Matt wanted gone. So up we went and got this Damper and Your Anti-bird cowl up and I swept it out then hooked up three damper chain and it's ready for the new custom brass surround He's having manufactured for it. It should look a treat when complete! @ Frankston City
