15.01.2022 Hey there our lovely people! We’d firstly like to thank those of you who have continued to support us through these very strange times. We know it’s been tricky with us not being actually open, even with restrictions being lighter for a minute, but we’ve continued to see lots of ‘unknowns’ continue to come through town and while that’s good for some businesses, it’s not so great for us, or indeed the shop in these circumstances. Anyway, now we’re going back into stage 3, ...we’re more than happy to do online ordering with either contactless drop off or pick ups on Thursdays and Saturdays. So go to shop.clunes.org - click on us and order what you need by Wednesday 1.00pm for Thursday delivery and Friday 1.00 pm on Friday for Saturday. (Pick ups after 1.30 pm). And anything extra or special you need from Wilson’s or any of our other suppliers like Blk 454, Meraki Organics, Slaty Creek Organics, The Preserver’s Pot jams and preserves, Inglenook Dairy ... actually a few...but pop it into the notes section and we’ll do what we can to include it. 11.01.2022 Ok - Danial from Meraki Organics brought us these Saffron Milk Caps (pine mushrooms) and Slippery Jack mushies. Picked fresh from the forest floor today. These are literally all we have - $18.00 a kg. They look and smell magnificent. Let us know.

09.01.2022 Thanks as always to Sophie for this deliciousness ... First proper meal (sempre al fresco, ovviamente) with my Papa in six months. Porcini, truffle and buffalo ricotta ravioli in butter and sage, balsamic rocket with @adeliafindfoods dukkah and herbed mushrooms. Longer days, warmth, graduating from afternoon tea to early dinner. 08.01.2022 While it’s very hard to believe it’s Christmas already, Santa is definitely planning on being here next Friday (I know this because I track him). So with that in mind, here are some dates to be aware of: Georgio at Basilio’s last baking day for the year is Christmas Eve so any lovely breads you might want for Christmas lunches etc., let me know by THIS coming Sunday and we’ll have it for you on Christmas Eve. The same goes for Le Petite Patissiere pastries - any croissants,... mince tarts etc. will be in the shop on Christmas Eve. Of course, any fruit, veggies, flowers and anything else we can also get in for you. The easiest way to order is always through the shop.clunes.org but of course if you see us around, let us know. We’ll be open as usual on Saturday and of course, Christmas Eve. After that we’ll be closed till the end of January. We’d also like to thank you all for the support you’ve given us throughout this nutty old year. So as some have ...helped me including Eat Drink West . And the marvelous Brad Fernando. Who have assisted me in moving my produce as well as Cafe Sidra and the Talbot Providore And Eatery in The Clunes greengrocer. I'm very lucky to be able too get food too the people. So now you want too know about the oranges. Well a fellow stall holder and organic grower from GoodNight near Swan Hill that did the Ballarat farmer's Mkt. And allready supplying me with her Sultana Girl Brand sultanas. Suggested maybe I could sell some fresh from the tree Valencia oranges. Picked Friday Saturday last week are on sale now from evansford.this weekend until sold come get your vitamin C fix and help a fellow farmer. Get her fruit to the people. 03.01.2022 Hello our lovely folk! Bit of a long one (channeling Dan). Firstly, we’d like to thank you all so much for continuing to support us throughout the lockdown period. It has made the difference between us shutting the doors for good - which in turn means another business in town closing ... or not. For that, we are so appreciative. We understand it’s been a different way of thinking about shopping but we love you for embracing it.... To that end we’ve thought long and hard about what the next little while will look like for us with the easing of restrictions, some bits of schools going back, and Wesley coming back to campus up here. Basically, we’ve decided to just keep doing our online ordering with delivery/pick up and no shop opening as such - for a while at least. This is largely due to us wanting to keep ourselves and our lovely town safe. As many of you know, I’ve already been sick enough to go to hospital, and I don’t want that to happen again. And we need to keep Greg, as well as our kids as safe and well as we can, also. So - thanks to the always magnificent Jason and Damien - you can go to the Clunes online store at clunes.shop.org and order stuff from us, Widow Twankeys, Mount Beckworth wines and The Kitchen Chameleon. Anything you don’t see on our particular list, but you’d like ... just put in the notes. For us, for ordering: Basilio bread orders for the following week (Thursday and Saturday) are to be in by the Sunday lunchtime before.
