22.01.2022 Two small loafs of milk bread, one for breakfast, one for a friend I’ve just replaced the water with milk in the bread recipe, this made it softer and fluffier. Not quiet a cake, but not a bread either. It craves real butter and honey on it
21.01.2022 I am soo blessed to be your mum Look at the amazing cake the children made The best is that they even cleaned up after Happy Mother’s Day to all of you
20.01.2022 One more week to go! It’s soo great to see you all, even if I spend half of the day chatting to you instead of cleaning Pop in if you see the light on! Enjoy the weekend P.s. Have a look at the page, I will post the rest of the items for sale&giveaway!
20.01.2022 Hello We are still here! Thank you for your continuous support! For every like, every share, every comment, to let us know, you are still here, too. Desperately trying to follow all the new regulations, or rather, desperately trying to find out what is an actual regulation and what is just gossip yet. We done the mandatory hygiene course, but the hygiene officer course is not even available, yet it’s a requirement for opening. Opening is not yet allowed, maybe on Friday wil...l be an announcement. Till then we have to come up with a truckload of solutions for your safety. And ours Rumour is, that tables have to be placed 1.5 m away, but maybe just the 4 sqm rule. There is talk about compulsory table divining walls. Maximum of 4 people to a table, but maybe none is allowed in without covid 19 app. But app is not compulsory so we will have to take everyone’s name and number before entering. According to the hygiene training, we can accept cash, but have to wear disposable gloves and use a new one for every transaction... And the list goes on.. So we are here, we are watching and learning and waiting till the future is a bit more clear ahead See more
19.01.2022 Dear Friends, the time has come to close the doors of The Coffee Garden, for good. We are very grateful for every minute we spent with you. Thank you! For just being you, coming in every day and smiling... Everyone lived and living through differently the coronavirus pandemic of 2020. The life for some of you have changed drastically, and many of you speaking of not much disturbance in the everyday life. For us, as a family and as a business, this post apocalyptic new reality means to change, to adapt, to renew. The sleepy, brown bear is ready to emerge from hibernation as a feisty, funky little fairy, riding of course, on a rainbow coloured unicorn. Wand in one hand, almond chai latte in the other. In a keep cup. With a little basket on the side. Full with fresh almond croissants. You see, you are confused and perhaps sad, but definitely smiling now. I dare you to erase this image from your head But what does it mean for the future, you are asking. Well, before something new can start, something old has to finish. We would be most happy, if a passionate new owner would take over our little cafe and would continue something beautiful we have started. But be quick with your offer as we have a super tight time frame to work with and need the space. So check out the next posts where we advertise the whole cafe and individual items for sale. Come and grab a bargain
19.01.2022 Thanks for the feedback! I ended up combining the best of both worlds. Nutella cheesecake with a simple decoration to suit a beautiful girl with slight CDO (that’s OCD, but in the correct order ). Oh, how I miss your organisation skills! I remember, we had a conversation earlier this year, about special birthdays. How after the 16th, you can look forward to the 18th, then the big 21st. But now, that you are over the hill, this year will be nothing special. Well, I think you might remember now your 22nd birthday in 2020. And we were thinking of you every time we scrubbed hands today while singing Happy Birthday
16.01.2022 Why everything tastes better in a scroll? Vegemite and cheese, apple and custard, cinnamon, walnut, Nutella.. Just roll it up

14.01.2022 My children HATE leftovers. It’s disgusting. Or yukk, at least. Their favourite dinner is The ten minute one. Pimped up leftovers I will share with you the very, very secret recipe below, if you promise to keep it to yourselves!!!... Ingredients: leftovers and whatever is in fridge and pantry. Method: Put frozen veg in microwave. 10 min for our veggie lovers’ huge load. Stare pantry for what can I use for base for 2 minutes. Instant couscous, cuppa noodles, leftover rice, cold cooked potatoes. Stare fridge for 5 minutes for toppings. Anything goes as long as you can chop them in a funky way. So can’t be identified as leftover! Roast chicken bits, pork chops, ham, sausages, roast veg, hard boiled eggs. If really have nothing, use a can of chickpeas/mixed beans/corn. You likely to have something spare that the kids will really like. That’s the magically binding agent. Choose a nice big platter and spread base on. Top with the veg and the choppings. Now the most important part : pimp it up! Any fresh veg? Good! Half an avo? Even better! Handful of trail mix? You are the domestic goddess of Moroccan food! Mini gherkins? Mum, you are the best cook! Any kinda dip in middle? Eat my hat, Jamie Oliver! See more
11.01.2022 May the 4th be with you! Fun fact: May the Fourth be with you, Maggie! Congratulations! was a newspaper ad on - you guessed it - May the 4th, 1979. The first Star Wars movie came out two years earlier and was very popular. The ad was placed by the Tories to congratulate the first female prime minister of the U.K., Margaret Thatcher.
11.01.2022 What a wonderful day spent with you all! Thank you for the hugs and wise words. I wish we could have had a cup of tea with it Please have a look at the sale items, I will remove the sold ones. I will be in the cafe tomorrow 10-12 ish if you want to pick up something.
09.01.2022 I need to make a birthday cake. Can’t decide between over the top cheesecake or simple but super rich chocolate cake
08.01.2022 Thank you so much for your kind thoughts, emails, calls and pop ins Soo lovely to see you all again And thank you for all the help you offered, I am intended to use it now.. Not sure how we should do the sale of the stuff from the cafe! I am bombarded with emails and calls requesting specific items. Please, if you can, send me a message, and I will get back to you shortly. We might even hold a garage sale on the weekend in the cafe. What do you think?? Would you be interes...ted in kitchen and baking stuff? Whatever you need, I probably have one. Or three Can you please tag your friends and share the sale posts? They are getting lost in the buy and sell pages so I will post them here as well. It would be a great help! See more
04.01.2022 Hope you all had a relaxing weekend We have a few baking and cake display items left for sale, please have a look at the Facebook page or send a pm to ask
