22.01.2022 One of this month’s Solar jobs This new bore site was divined and drilled by FB Drilling, Sam and Scott were organised through Gwydir Water Services to drill th...e bore, it was air tested by FB Drilling at 4000 Gallons Per Hour on the day which was an awesome result. The client wanted to pump test the flow and organised Gwydir Water Services to do a flow test a few days later. Gwydir Water Services found that the bore had a slightly better flow rate after testing which was good peace of mind to have for the client who was investing money on infrastructure to improve the farms carrying capacity while also adding value to their farm. Gwydir Water services then provided a few different designs options on different flows to get the best result with the most water up the existing pipeline in one day. The team from Gwydir Water managed to get an average of 55,000 Litres per day with a top of 58,000 Litres per day out of a Lorentz PS2 4000 HR-32. This pump is great for getting large amounts of water up long distances of pipe. This system is also enabling a 1Km extension of the pipeline and a further 30m lift in the future to supply water to other parts of the property that only have dams, which we all now know don’t hold water in a drought. Previously the client had a Windmill, an Air well pump and relied on dams. These systems only supplied around 9,000 Litres per day, now the client receives a massive 55,000 litres per day with no electricity bills from the air well pump, no maintenance on windmills or bucket replacement needed. 16.01.2022 LEVEL THREE WATER RESTRICTIONS MUNGINDI, WEEMELAH AND BOGGABILLA The ongoing dry conditions and lack of rain forecast in the near future have forced Moree Plai...ns Shire Council to now impose Level Three water restrictions from Tuesday 1 October 2019 in the towns of Mungindi, Weemelah and Boggabilla. Council has recently asked residents of the Moree Plains to be water conscious with the towns of Mungindi, Weemelah and Boggabilla currently on Level One water restrictions. Water levels and water consumption across all towns have been closely monitored, leading to Level Three restrictions to be enforced in Mungindi, Weemelah and Boggabilla shortly. With a dry Spring forecast, Council has decided that Level Three restrictions in these localities would be appropriate to ensure water supply is adequate if no significant rainfall is received over Summer, explained Moree Plains Shire Council General Manager Lester Rodgers. Council recently received formal advice from WaterNSW that there will be no further water releases to supply these towns until adequate rainfall has been received. Therefore Council must be proactive to ensure water is managed efficiently over the coming seasons. Whilst Council has undertaken significant upgrades to water infrastructure in recent times, these severe conditions are unprecedented and appropriate action must be taken. Council has a Water Supply Schemes Drought Management Plan which prescribes the approach to adopting water restrictions. In accordance with this Plan, residents in Mungindi, Weemelah and Boggabilla should adhere to the following restrictions as of 1 October 2019: Hand-held hoses only when watering lawns and gardens. Watering may only take place between 5:00am - 9:00am and 7:00pm - 10:00pm. Buckets may be used at any time. Paved and concrete surfaces are not to be washed down. New pools can only be filled with Council permission. Pool covers are mandatory. Car washing can only take place using a bucket with a trigger hose to rinse off the vehicle. Only trigger hoses may be used whilst doing home extensions or landscaping. Water can only be carted for domestic purposes. Residents are encouraged to only clothes wash when they have a full load. All fountains are to be turned off and not to be topped up except for safety reasons. For Commercial and Industrial water users in Mungindi, Weemelah and Boggabilla, the following will apply: Irrigation (Efficient User) consumption should be reduced by 40%. Irrigation (Non-Efficient User) consumption should be reduced by 40%. Water can only be carted for domestic purposes. Businesses must make greater endeavours to minimise water usage. Cars may only be washed using a bucket. Washing of commercial buildings and windows is discouraged. These water restrictions will provide residents with clear guidelines on how they can reduce their water consumption. Further details of these water restrictions can be found on Council’s website www.mpsc.nsw.gov.au within its Water Supply Schemes Drought Management Plan. If residents of these towns have any questions about these restrictions they are encouraged to contact Council directly. Council encourages residents to make further efforts to be water conscious above these imposed restrictions, said Mr Rodgers. Every little bit of water conservation helps in the long term and Council compliments the efforts made by residents so far. Again, residents across the Shire are urged to promptly report any leakages through its Customer Service Centre on (02) 6757 3222 even if it is after hours. The smallest water leak can cause a huge water loss if left unattended. Council will continue to monitor water levels across all towns closely and take further action if necessary to ensure water supply is preserved.

11.01.2022 The team at Gwydir Water Services have been extremely busy over the past few months, this is one of our latest jobs we’ve installed. After consulting with our c...lient, it was decided to put a Lorentz 1800 HR 23 system with 6 solar panels at the property in Glen Elgin delivering a huge 26,000 litres of water per day. The old existing system was providing water to two residential homes a stock yard. Updating to a Lorentz solar system enabled our client to pump water to a 10,000 gallon tank that was installed up on a hill, 800 meters away and adding new poly pipe lines meant that the new Lorentz system could provide water to two homes, a stock yard and 6 concrete troughs around the property. This investment gave the client the opportunity to open up his country and increase the carrying capacity of stock. The new Lorentz Solar System not only helped with the large amount of water being pumped to various points around the property, it also saved our client valuable time and money not having to drive down to the creek to top up the diesel driven Helical Rotor pump twice a day. Lorentz is not only a fantastic reliable product, its cost effective too. Water is essential to every property and you need a good reliable system that is going to deliver this precious resource. We highly recommend the Lorentz Solar Systems. Please call Simon on 0438 79 1073 to discuss your water needs. If you are thinking of drilling for a bore we can advise you on your options and requirements needed. We have a great connection with drillers in our area. We also have an excavator that we use to drill holes for the footing before we lay the concrete pads for our systems. Gwydir Water Services are a local family owned business, looking after our community. Lorentz Australia

08.01.2022 Gwydir Water Service installed a new Lorentz Solar Pumping system in a dam float recently in Glen Innes. It was a PS2 200 HR 07 with 2 /330 watt solar panels. T...his system supplies an average of 13000 Litres per day up to a tank 400m away and 13 meters in height, then gravity feeds back down 3.5 km of poly pipe to 11 new concrete troughs which were installed by Allan Kent of Glen Innes 0418 888 315 . Our Client built a new 11 mg spring fed dam because all the small dams didn’t last when there was no rain, they were also losing cattle in the small dams due to getting stuck. This new dam and system will not only provide a more reliable water source but will enable our client to install a supplement injecting system into the water line which will flow into all the new concrete water troughs in all paddocks. This gives our client confidence and reassurance knowing that he has a reliable system providing water and supplements to his livestock saving time and money without the waste of costly labor, blocks and dry licks. 05.01.2022 In December 2018, Georges River Council installed and launched the first Hydropanel array in Sydney. 03.01.2022 Gwydir Water Services recently installed a Lorentz Solar system at a large property in Glen Elgin NSW. The solar system replaced an old windmill and provides ap...proximately 10,000 L/per day more water to the house and livestock. Our team also supplied and installed 2 x 5000 gallon Clark poly water tanks, 2 concrete Graham water troughs and 600m of poly pipe. We also placed taps at the house yard and stock yards. A suction tube was used to keep the pump and motor away from flooded creeks with a 2.5m suction lift, these particular units are used in the Northern states because of the crocodile problem. Another reliable system from Gwydir Water services installed for what suited our clients needs. Call the team at Gwydir Water Services to discuss your water needs and options.
